Beastie Boys : Check Your Head (edited)???

I know I probably sound like a pansy or whatever, but I try not to by Cd's with explicit Lyrics. But I have been unable to find a non-parental advisory version of Check your Head. I am not sure it exists. All of there other albums weren't parental advisory or I found a clean version like at wal-mart, but no luck with Check Your Head. If any body has any info then let me know...

I don't think one exists. Edits of particular tracks do, So What'Cha Want springs to mind, but as an album...i don't think so.

There is no full edited version; however, you can track down the promo on Ebay called "Songs From Check Your Head." It has removed 5 tracks with cursing from the CD, and replaced the original "So What'cha Want" with the edited, single version.

Or, you can take the regular CD, rip the wav files to your computer, download an audio editor from the web, and you can apply a "reverse" on the portions of the tracks with offensive lyrics. Then just burn the tracks back to a CD.

By the way, I don't think you're a pansy! It's fair enough, most the lyrics are fairly positive in that record though and it's more musical than anything, but yeah, there's the odd swearing (So What'Cha Want, The Meastro etc and one of the skits).

I bought my 4 year old niece, who is becoming quite a beastie fan (which brings tears of joy to her uncle's eye), the clean version of TTFB. They don't just skip or bleep the swears but fill them in with new rhymes. Some are quite funny. She can even finish the some of the rhymes. Her favorite line on the album to quote is "Adrock A.K.A sharp cheddar/my rhymes are better/ what in the helen of troy is that/Did i hear you say my rhymes is wack?" I'll say a line, then she will, then i will and then she closes it out like a veteran rhymeslayer.

yeah I bought both versions, the clean is pretty silly especially Hey [HONK] you. My GFs son loves it though. Too bad I had to goto Walmart to get the clean version.

I think Clean Versions degrade the original track. I mean, they did the music this way. If you remove some swearing words from it, it isnt the same anymore. At least I think this way
