I'm running out of things to borrow from our local library, so I wound up with Smallville, season one, disc one.

I made it through one episode. It's not the worst, but it's pretty lame.

I love the fact that a major plot point is the team bully ripping his (girlfriend's) beloved necklace off his neck (presumably breaking the clasp) and then putting it around Clark's neck, saying something like, "This is as close as you're ever gonna get to her!"

I mean... isn't that what we all do? Take a treasured item given to us by a loved one and bestow it on our enemy as a way to taunt him? -- then what? Keys to the car? A phone number?
