Re-Hello,

Actually, I am fresh in the hood and my sound must be better for sure. I'd be pleased to share any idea/comment/critic (positive or negative), anything to improve my production and remixing skills.

Thank you

Dude, is that wacky keyboard sample a CLAVINET? They're my favourite instrument, soooo funky. I really liked this mix of yours, the little jazz break is kinda random, but very fresh. (y)
Only criticism is that your levels need to be fixed, either that or try to like, process your samples a bit with some EQ's, right now everything's kinda like thick wall of sound, it's pretty muddy sounding. And you might wanna beef up he vocals a tiny bit. Other than that, beautiful I say, beautiful!

Thank you for your comments ! I'll try to improve the EQ's and the voice, and will post a new version then. It's true for this kinda blurry wall of sound, maybe this mix needs a bit of panning as well. So much more need to be done...

Get to work... fingers on the keys !

Actually, it is a piano sample with sax on the end, I think. It is taken from the original soundtrack of Casino Royale (this kind of fake James Bond movie) composed by Burt Bacharach, but don't say it :-))

Feel free to post more comments or share your remix here.

See ya

Ok sorry, you talked about the first funky sample. I must be tired...
It is a "blue note" sample, but I will keep it safe for a while. Although I don't think this is necessary 'cos I am not a expert-crate digger and this sample must not be too obscure.

But not too many sample-revelation on the same day...

Nice, I'm a real bluenote fan. I actually play bass in a blues/rock band with a total bluenote geek/killer guitar player.
Are you grabbin your samples off records or like, just rippin em from mp3's? I absolutely love vinyl, my whole damn room's totally crammed with 25cent records from garage sales and such, so it's always kinda neat to find other vinyl heads like myself.
One more thing, that funky guitar rocks. (y)

Do you record solo live bass slap or something that we can sample ??

I play a bit guitar as well. I tried some band experiences in the past, but all sterile eventually. So I am enjoying myself :D And I sample from vinyl, from cd's, from mp3, from live. I mix vinyl, cd's and mp3 as well, but vinyl is my favorite. I really like to dig the crate, but I don't do it enough. I got some, but I don't know how many. A few hundreds maybe.

The funky guitar comes from the same sample.

haha dude, I've only been playin bass for like, 2 months, the last thing you'd wanna do is sample me. I'll get back to ya in a few years when I can do more than play 12 bar riffs over and over :o

peace man
