This whole mess is convuluted and disconcerting, not that I was ever a big fan of Galloway, just that I think he's lost any credibilitiy he may have once had.

Personally, I think this critism is overblown….

It was not entirely stupid to suppose that if he could engage the bb contestants in political discussion then he could reach the nations least politically motivated people (who probably make up the CBB audience).

He failed in achieving this for a number of reasons and indeed has ended up looking a bit of a twat. So he failed to reach these people, another thing which would have failed to reach them is not going in in the first place, he tried something and it failed.

As he said last night – at the very least, he has raised a lot of money for his nominated charity
