I wish so much I had done Physics - I study it now as a hobby, but at the time of going to Uni I was discouraged by career advisors.

I did engineering for a bit - then dropped out and did Business conomics with Computing before doing a pure Economics Masters degree.

I am presently working but am doing Accountancy degree and certification on the side - its not cool like physics but it really pays the bills so thats cool.

Man I wish I had done Physics, I still hope to work at CERN or something in a business manager capacity.

Hey Bob, you're invited too. I think if there's a problem if we combine our powers we can drink our way out of it no matter how big it is. Eh? (http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Pier/6369/mcBob.jpg)

I want to work at CERN. It is the particle physics and quantum mechanics that most interests me. I'm going to specialise in that in my second year, and hopefully work at CERN.

Religious Studies with Honours at Ottawa U

i'm second year (that's a different story) and part-time, and now i'm also one of the newest bartenders at the brand spanking new campus bar.

i'll be surprised if i finish in two years like i am supposed to, but at least i'll be able to afford living/studying in comfort now.

sounds interesting...as a native Ottawian, I feel its a waste of money. Do you yourself follow any religion and/or find one more interesting than the other?

I have a Bachelors Degree in Athletic Coaching Education.

Surprisingly I learned more about other things than i did coaching such as: Being a leader, being a team player, communication skills, the media/pr, coaching/teaching, evaluating and most importantly the business side of athletics. Very cool

I may go back to school later on to get an Executive MBA in Business Administration, but that depends on what level I am at in my career. I never understood why people quit work to go back to get their masters if they are making 50-75k a year.

I'm not sure yet. I want to do something english-ey, as that is what I know and what I love. But the only english thing you can do on my level is become a teacher, but I can't be a teacher because i would freak out and kill kiddos.
Bio-medical sciences sounds interesting too, but i was absolutely rubbish at science :(

Pfff, It's difficult to have to make a decision and completely change the life I have now. I'm afraid to choose the wrong thing.
But I have to do something. I can't let Dan outclever me. ;)

i think its Ottawan (eventhough i'm a Torontonian)

i like the philosophy of Monism, which says that there is truth in all faiths, but that there is an underlying force which guides all.

jesus, mohammed, moses & the prophets, krishna, buddha, etc...are all physical manifestations of a supreme force that is unknowable. also, i've come to believe that that force is not universal but very much unique to our planet.

learning about as many religions and faiths and beliefs as i can is reason enough to spend all of this money. it opens your eyes to different paths and different schools of thought.

knowledge is power. and religion is as important as ever in the world, it touches politics and economics, just as much as anything else.

plus, i love pissing off christians. :D

civil is so much better than mechanical!!

allthough structural stuff is a bitch, civl emcompasses such a wide range, if you dont like or cant handle the structural load, you can find something closely related to it.

Good luck with that man, your going into such an interesting area - esp with the Large Hadron Collider coming online soon - I reckon Quantum Mechanics is probably due for a bit of a shake up, good time to be doing it - all good

I studied graphic design (I got my diploma 5 years ago and finished
with 1.8 (in Germany 1 = best, 6 = worst) and I liked it. The time
in college/university (in Germany it's called Fachhochschule) was fun
because it wasn't too hard work except presenting your projectworks
at the end of the semester.

But the job gets really hard sometimes. If you work in an advertising
agency you'll have to work from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. (or worse) and you'll
often have to work on weekends as well. If you are self-employed it
doesn't really get bettter, but at least you can decide if you take the
money or the sparetime…

So, all in all you might be right, Freebasser :)

Bachelor of Applied Science(Forestry). I major in forest ecology and conservation biology. I really like it because its ultra practical. You spend heaps of time out in the field catching snakes, bats, frogs and cute furry animals.

I'll be getting a degree in advertising and public relations from my current school. Then, once that's completed, I'm most likely head to Florida or California to get another degree in recording arts/audio engineer/something like that.

Watch out, world.

i thought monism was just the belief that all of existence is one...thing. like the hindus believe, all notions of separateness are just illusion, and everything in reality is one

i wrote a 10 page paper on it

although i never did check to see what grade i got on it

i'm in my last semester of undergraduate college, i'm about to get a BA in political science. to this day i do not know what political science is. i still have a 3.345 GPA though (which would be a fair bit higher were it not for those damned math classes, which i haven't gotten above a C in).

the plan is to go to law school, i got a 163 on my LSAT which i've been told is very fucking impressive. which is good, because i have absolutely shit for extracurricular activities, honors, interests, professional experience, and everything else a law school would look for in an applicant. i've sent in my applications just this week, all i need is for my last recommender to send in his damned letter and i'll be aaalllll set.

it is pretty much that. i just apply it to all faiths, not just those of the Indian peoples.

if someone asks me if i am going to become a priest one more time, i'm gonna lose it...

haha...yeah, i get tired of "oh, you want to be a politician?". man, if there's one thing i've learned from being a political science major it's that i really don't want to be a politician (not that i ever wanted to in the first place)

I started my degree in September doing Motorsport Technology BSc (Hons) and I'm really enjoying it. I just need more money because living in Oxford is ridiculously expensive.
