If you haven't actually read The Smoking Gun (http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0104061jamesfrey1.html), I recommend it. The article is amusing--especially the quotes by the cops.

It's funny that everyone I know with experience in law enforcement or treatment knew that parts were fake. The parts involving his criminal history are preposterous if you know anything about prison vs jail, how small town sheriffs work, etc.

P.S. It was today's show, right? It's rerun late tonight so I'm going to have to tape it. It will be the first time I've seen Oprah in years!
