Oh God. That is a long, complicated story (if you are genuinely curious, I suppose I could go into detail, but you may fall asleep due to sheer boredom). I broke up with her about a week and a half ago. :(

I'm considering it... but I guess I'm holding some skepticism. We base so much of how we view people on first impressions (and first impressions are almost always the wrong ones). And I'm not entirely certain that I'm the type of person someone can instantly be into within the first 6-8 minutes. I consider myself more of a grower...

Either way, my friend's thinking about speed dating now. The idea's always been foreign to me. Basically because people don't get that I'm being sarcastic most of the time, which is awkward when you're getting to know someone. (n)

One of my good friends just found a speed dating card in her boyfriend's trash can. When confronted, he initially denied anything, then said it was for an experiment and then confessed he'd met 4 different girls that he would consider dating material. Another friend of mine actually went speed dating a lot in NYC. Since she was such a busy career girl, it was a good way for her to meet a lot of people in a short amount of time.
