This is a tough one for me. It's either Parklife or self-titled.

Self-titled may win out since I find there's a few filler tracks on Parklife.

Wait for the poll...

Ah, this is an interesting question.
I think Parklife is their best 'britpop' album. All the songs are so catchy and the lyrics are stupidly clever + It's probably the album I played more than any other.
But artistically 13 really sticks out. It starts with a gospel choir, then it goes from distorted guitar chords to trip-hop to pretty acoustic songs. And it all works and fits together. All these different influences make the album sound a lot darker than parklife. The lyrics are also deeper, almost depressing really.

so basically, Parklife is their best Happy album, and 13 is their best Moody album. But I'll go for Parklife because I'm a sucker for silly happy music.

I like the experimentation of "13," no doubt. But for me, I find they can get a bit self-indulgent on this album. Self-titled Blur achieves these same experimental aims as "13," but here the effort feel a lot more cohesive. There isn't a weak track to be found anywhere on self-titled.

Never really liked them, but really I enjoy Think Tank. The political themes, and the crazy sampling and bass-heavy sound make it my favourite.

It's their best album in years. I love Brothers and Sisters, Out of Time, Ambulance and Jets.

Think Tank is really underrated, specially Alex James' bass lines should get more recognition. But it's not their best. It misses the sound of Graham Coxon. But it's damn Funky though.

"Crazy Beat" is a killer track. (y)

I'm wondering... what's the future of Blur? Are they planning on doing another album or is Albarn just basking in the success of Gorillaz?

I thought I heard somewhere that Damon was sortof working on a new blur album. That might also feature songs from his Democrazy album.
But I could be entirely wrong.

Damon is doing an album with DangerMouse. And there's talks about a new Blur album after that, with Graham Coxon guranteed a spot, if only he wanted it.

I like Park Life and S/T as well, but the innovation on Think Tank gets me. I've said before that I consider it the kind of record the Beastie Boys should have made. It's the sound of a band that has lost a crucial element playing like they really have nothing more to lose.

Blurfor me. I remember buying it when I was 10

Anyway, it's up there with Beck's Odelay in sculpting my musical preferences.

Think Tank is a brilliant record, too, but Crazy Beat is probably the worst song they've ever done.
