View Full Version : Is what I'm doing wrong?

I have all the Beastie songs on CDs that I bought over the years, and still have some of the cassette tapes I bought in the 80's when I was in highschool.

A few dozen minutes ago, I listened to "B-Boys Makin' With the Freak Freak". Over and over and over. About nine times. All in a row.

Does anyone else do this sort of thing?

The Beasties have been known to put hidden stuff in their music to make you want it or listen more

For example, "Take PcP'

now go do it

like...if you play "Root Down" backwards, you hear a message from satan?!

and what you're doing isn't wrong. one time i was helping my dad clean and i was listening to my cd player. i had 3 minute rule on repeat and listened to it the whole time. about an hour or something like that. (lb)

now, is that wrong? :p

Haha, I do that all the time. I'll just rediscover a song and listen to it a bazillion times. I did that most recently with Stand Together, that song sounds so fucking cool. :D And I kept listening to Boomin Granny over and over again because I thought it was so funny. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, just a little obsession. (y) But once you find a picture and get obsessed over it and stare at it for an hour then you got something to worry about. ;)

I love the part just before it
"I'm a man that needs no introduction
Got a big tool of reproduction!"

:D it took me a few listens to understand what he meant(Y)

and we all have an obsession with Groove every now and then, its a fact of life.

Wrong is but an e-mail away.

You must strive to let go of these inhibitions. Understand the structure... the vastness and properties of this universe. For it is this universe that balances between romance and human history.

Like the universe, B-Boys Makin' With the Freak Freak wasn't meant to end. But Capitol insisted the record be released in a timely manner. So play on, Nice Jerk. Play on.

It's crazy intelligent. Like Mozart's music, B-boys' makes you smarter. Look it up.

there's actually hidden messages in some of the songs that make you listen to it again. Just like the hidden messages in movies at your local theater.

for me its:

alright hear this
flute loop
live at pjs
sounds of science

The first Beastie Boys song I put on repeat was "Sure Shot". The day I became a fan, I listened to that song for 6 hours. Straight. Good times.
