I'm curious, because I almost always oder the same 2 or 3 things over and over, and I'm looking for some new ideas.

Last weekend I tried some new ones but they were not so great. Ideas? Also, what is your signature drink of you have one?

At least they sound interesting...all I order are vodka/lime, a 'fuck-me-upside-down' and a beer.

I have - tis ok. I've also tried Guinness Bitter in a can which was... different :/

I've come to the assumption that I'm never going to taste a great Guinness til I finally get my shit together and float on over to Ireland.

i can't say i've ever tried guinness bitter...

but what are you on about?! we all know wolverhampton produces the best guinness around.

but seriously...you'd probably be able to find some dingy little 'locals only' pub somewhere that sells imported draught guinness.

What time are we meeting up?

On a side note...the people who work at the handful of liquor stores I have frequent have been telling me to get Sailor Jerry instead of Captain because its better. Its good, spiced, but not that heavenly bite that the capo gives. Some people seem to like it better so check it out if you get a chance.

Liquor:
Cap'n and Coke

Lagers/Stouts/Ales/Barleywine (if they don't serve liquor):
Guiness
Dominion Milleniums
Dominon Cream Ale
Dominion Oak Barrell Stout

Shots:
Just about anything but tequila

Shooters:
Kamikazes
Lemon Drops
B-52s

Frat Boy Drinks:
Irish Car Bombs
Jaeger Bombs

Wine:
Don't know much about it, but I do know that I don't mind certain Chiantis.

B-52s are good, as are Mudslides.

Zombies are not good, plus they are expensive.

I'm not much impressed with 'sex on the beach' either, it seemed like a womans drink.

It depends a lot on the type of occation. Usually I'll have an ale, but they don't have any it's pear cider.
I can't usually afford to drink anything stronger, but on special occations I'll have a Rusty Nail (Scotch and Drambuie) or single malt Scotch.
After a meal I might have a little sherry or even Bailey's on the rocks.
At home I make drinks sometimes, one favourite is 43 and milk.

kahluah and cream, although I stopped maybe 15 years ago

In social settings where people are drinking, unless I want to face down their questions about why I'm not drinking, I order coke and ice with something girlie sticking out of the top like a tiny paper umbrella.

Or I order plain milk in something like a ceramic buddha and have them stick a colorful accordion fan in his belly button. Maybe use a bendie twistie straw with it.

Orange Juice. But I've since stopped trusting the Orange Juice in bars and not opt for nothing.

I was trying to be considerate and at least buy something. Maybe they should wash their glasses out better in the future.

It's always...

Stella Artois
Alexander Keith's
Corona
Beck's

For shots, I do enjoy the occasional Jagermeister (I think that's the one... it's the one that tastes like black licorice).

Whatever is on tap cos i'm not getting fucked over by profiteering clubs and their 500% markups on spirits. Thats the main thing thats pissed me off about working in the liquor wholesaling industry, finding out exactly how much a bottle of house spirits costs the bar. Around $18 australian on average. From that they get 20 standard drinks. However they then charge 5-10 dollars for the drink depending on whether its straight, mixed with coke, or mixed with redbull or something. So they make 500% on spirits, but the only make a tiny percentage on beer. Kegs, after refrigeration costs, wastage etc come out at about $1.50 per pot, and alot of bars only charge $2-3 for a beer. So unless its a cheap spirits night, or they only have tooheys new on tap, i wouldnt even consider drinking spirits at a bar.

The better alternative to Jägermeister is Hiller Moorbrand.
It's a local cordial (?) with about 40% Vol. and you only get
it at my old hometown-area. You mustn't drink more than 2
an evening or you'll remember nothing...

If you are in Germany sometime, go and check it out

i'm suprised enree isnt an IC light drinker...I should find a way to automate this response: I have never had a beer in my life.

But I think you're right. I'd be an IC light beer drinker just for the calories factor.

I have a friend who does 45 minutes of cardio 4 times a week so that she can have 6 drinks on Friday and Saturday nights. Booze math.

Well that's one of the reasons I drink my hard liquor at home. And guess how much the booze prices are taxes? A friend of mine works on the ferry between Helsinki and Stockholm and she can buy totally tax free. I remember about 10 years ago she payed 11 Swedish cronas for ½ liter tequila.... In a bar you could hardly get a sip...
Now she collects Scottish whisky's, but they have a restriction how much they can take to land a month (guess why they give personel tickets to friends.... ;) )
