What beers do you like?
What's your regular?
What do you detest?

Me personally, my regular/fave is Harp Lager. If thats not available then i go for Carlsberg. That's if im going for pints. Harp has an awful reputation round here for being swill and making your arse explode the next day. Not totally unfounded i might add. Theres a bit of local pride involved in that its our local brew, but most locals/irish people hate it. Its popular in Northern Ireland.

Sometimes, if im taking it slower i'll go for bottles of Corona.

I really, really don't like Heineken and i cant stomach Stella.

I'll drink Bud if theres a promotion and its free, or if its the only thing going free at a party. I wont pay for it.

I don't mind Miller at all, if i have to.

I will not drink anything light, and i'm not a fan of the major american brews in Coors, Bud, and Miller (listed from worst to best). Of those, i will only drink MGD, and thats only if its the only special and since its got no aftertaste.

I tend to regularly drink Yuengling, which is a somewhat local brew, meaning its in the state. Its not great, but its cheap and easy to find here.

I tend to lean towards middle beers. Meaning i'm not big on stouts or pale ales, but something in the middle. generally a fan of browns and others in that range.

currently i have a case of killians irish red in my place, and that will probably last a while sincei dont drink much beer at home

I like mainly pale ales, or some little darker beers.
Old Speckled Hen, Newcastle, Kilkenny, McEwans, Falcon Bayers, Witches Brew, Old Town and stuff like that. There's some OK lagers as well, in case there's no ale to be found.
I really detest white beer and cherry beer.

Love Blue Moon, I think that's my new fave.

Usually it's the question of yeasting and ageThe basic differences between lager and ale is that lager is aged longer than ale, lager is fermented at a lower temperature than ale and finally, lager is carbonated whereas ale typically is not..... Finally we come to stout, which is actually a type of ale. The process for brewing is similar. It employs yeast to gobble up the sugars from the malt and produce alcohol. Stout acquires its colour through the process of straining away the yeast and aging.

Yeah they're very nice. When I take the ferry to Helsinki I usually have some of those, if they've ran out of Speckled Hen.

if i have a choice i do not choose american brews. my trip to canada ruined them for me. canadian brews are super good. i dont even remember what i had, but they were super fabulous. if i have to drink american i drink yuengling (sp?)

i try to figure out my favorite between fosters and bass and its really hard. everytime i drink fosters i think "yep this is it" and then i drink a bass and i am undecided yet again.

I dont like guinness.

on a hot summer day i love a corona (24oz, no lime)

harp is good i love when my austrailian friends order it and they say "haap" its good.

i guess i like lagers? i've never really paid attention. lagers and/or pale ales?
eh...you tell me.

Carn the Coopers. Sparkling, Pale and Stout in no particular order. The Stout is heaven in a bottle. Coopers Pale on tap pwns all other tap beer .

When I'm buying shit beer for home, it's usually Carllton Draught. It's the best tasting domestic beer in my opinion, very little hops flavour, not too malty. Either that or Swan Draught ( the local beer that's no longer brewed locally).

Dark beers are great. Newcastle Brown ale on tap is fantastic. It's quite sweet, but much better than what you get from a bottle. If it comes from a bottle, then mix it with a stout to add some character.

CUB's Carlton Black isn't too bad. It's the consistency of a lager, with a burnt-mocha characteristic not dissimilar to a stout. It's more a Stout that is lager-easy to throw back on a hot day.

If I'm buying up for an occasion and it's not Coopers, I'll usually go James Boag's Premium, or Bitburger. Not many beers can surpass Bitburger.

Re Corona: it's weak, characterless piss. People ask me: "Why do you put a lemon in it?" to which I reply: "BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!". But to each their own.

Allright, because I'm from the land of beer I just wanted to let you
all know, that in Germany there are at least 1.222 (!) breweries...

To proof it klick here (http://www.deutschlands-brauereien.de/brauereien.php)!

Some 40 yrs ago it was more like 10.000. Screw this globalization and buying up smaller comptitors. There is still this tavern in Munich where you can drink 111 different brews, if you do it in one setting you drink for free as long as you live, which would likely not be too long....

Hoegarden in a pint glass with a slice of lemon.
pint of Molson Export
cans of Budweiser
bottles of MGD
and i will consume with great haste anything that have the words Irish and Ale on the packaging.

Bohemian and MacClay's are two new beers i have discovered and like a lot. and of course Rickard's Red is greatness.

I lived like 2 blocks from their brewery. We used to get off work and go grab a jug of their draft for 6 bucks. They had a bar area where you can shoot the shit and sample everything for free...we'd honestly ahve like 4 full beer and then leave with our 6 dollar jug of Mother Lager...so good. Fun Halloween parties!

I loves me some Schooner Lager from Nova Scotia.

I'm also a big fan of Heffenwieser? Wheat beer...but skip the lemon, that's just ghey

there can be nothing else, except coopers. kidP was right when he said out of the tap, nothing comes close to coopers pale ale. 10 years ago u couldnt even get it in a pub, it didnt exist on tap, except at the coopers brewery underground bar, (i worked there a few times) and it wasnt really sold outside of adelaide. sparkling ale was the big coopers beer, and pale was its little forgotten brother. now, pale ale has exploded, on tap everywhere nationally, and most ppl have forgotten about sparkling. the stout has won countless international awards for being the best stout in a bottle. plus, coopers is the last large family owned brewery in australia.

go coopers!!!!

You know it's been so long since an actual Porter was brewed, that nobody can say for certain whether or not the fluid purporting to be Porter is actually so.

My favourites: Orval, Westmalle Dubbel, Cuvée des Trolls, Blanche Hermine, Faro, Mc Auslan Pale Ale, Guinness, Pilsner Urquell, Paulaner Salvator

My usuals: local lager beer (Cardinal, Boxer, Feldschlösschen), Guinness, Lapin Kulta, Cuvée des Trolls

I prefer lagers, ales and stouts, but I really enjoy some nice strong Belgian beer from time to time for a change.
I work every year at the local beer festival, the english ales they have really grew on me, too bad I can't find any here in normal time :(

Over Christmas I rediscovered Grand Ridge's Gippsland Gold. I love that shit but its hard to get up here. Mostly if I'm getting takeaways its Melbourne Bitter, any of the Cooper's brews, Cascade Premium, Boag's Strongarm or Guinness.

When I'm out its Guinness all the way.

I can't really stomach much else. Heineken's, Stella's and the like are weak as piss taste wise and the commercial American beers are weak as piss alcoholicly speaking and in taste, too.

Beers that I like: Budvar Budejovicky, Hoegaarden, Coopers (Pale & Sparkling), Guiness, Little Creatures Pale, Coronas, Boags Premium

Regular Beer: Becks at home, Carlton Draught when out

Beers that I detest: New Zealand made Carlsberg, becks and heineken. Tooheys New. Carlton Black (Sorry Kid P but that shit is filthy).
