Score one for the bull! (Although, of course, it did end up being killed, but then that was going to happen anyway, so good on him for trying to take a few humans with him.)

I have to say, when I was in Andalusia, I really did enjoy going to see the bullrings. I didn't go to any actual fights though, I don't think I could have tolerated that. But the buildings and the pageantry are magnificent. And it is easy to see how much a part of that southern Spanish culture and heritage bullfighting is, how deeply entrenched it is in the local paradigm. But at the end of the day, it is just so horribly cruel, I really can't justify it.

bullfighting...and any kind of forced animal fighting is fuckin disgusting....

i saw some special where they had this grizzly bear staked to the ground with a ring in it's nose...and they let like 4 pitbulls loose on him...so people could bet on it...
i couldn't watch.
the sounds coming from that bear...from pain and fear...haunting...

i would love to force EVERY person who ever conducted or bet on such operations to have to go through the same tribulations....
stake the promoter to the ground, give him a sword...and let some hungry boars go after him....

people can be fuckin sick.

i just don't understand deriving pleasure from watching innocent, ignorant creatures suffer....

I dunno why they call it bull fighting, its not really fighting, its just making a bull run around a bit before killing it.
