Well, it's that time of year again and the Relay for Life is coming up. Basically, the Relay for Life is a program where people honor cancer survivors, those that have passed away from cancer and spend the night walking around a track while raising donations to donate to the American Cancer Society.

Those of you that have been here a while might remember that I lost my dad a little more than one year ago to cancer. So, as you can imagine, this event has taken on a whole new meaning and importance to me. I've set a personal goal for myself of $500 to donate and y'all can help me if you're feeling generous and I'd appreciate it greatly. Scope out my personal donation page, make a donation and make my day, please? It'll give you good karma, I promise!

Here's my donation page (http://www.acsevents.org/relay/mi/gvsu/aweaver).

Thanks, guys.

Both my parents died from cancer.
I would make a donation, but I'd rather donate to a British charity, one a bit closer to home. I'm sure you'll understand.

I'm always uncomfortable when I fly internationally and they pass the UNICEF envelopes.

There's too much emphasis put on cure for cancer and not prevention. Swedish studies have linked certain herbicides/pesticides to various forms of cancer and this recent study that says there's no link between mobile phones and brain cancer is suspicious. I'd like to know who funded the research, who had input, the methodology, who got to draft the final wording of the results of the research.

When again and again individuals who seem to come up with effective treatments are suppressed by the medical establishment we have to ask who has interests in cancer and what are those interests.

Sometimes I like to bump my own topics. Just for the fun of seeing my name at top.

Other times I do it because it's something that's important to me.

Take a guess at which one this is.

This is one case where size doesn't matter.

Thanks for your donation, Rach.
