Hey,
Another coupla tunes for yers! Again its just me and me decks, no software. Brr Stick em could be better in synch and Grasshopper Unit could be less distorted but hey I thought they sounded good together- if you like you like and if you dont you dont. Let me know either way. :)

These mixes are hot like... hot sauce! (y) Seriously though, that is ultra nice stuff.
So you're usin decks? Any suggestions for a new mixer that a kid on a low budget should buy? I need somethin that'd be good for loads of scratchin and samplin, but there's so much out there I dont know what to get. I've got this shitty Gemini mixer from the late 80's and it crackles like wild so I cant finish this mix I'm workin on :(

Erm.. yes and no.. you might think this is cheatin but its cd decks - i aint no scratch master! Its still quite a manual thing to mix the acapella and instrumental but it doesnt require the dexterity of usin vinyl. I started with house music but since i started makin me own stuff and remixin stuff on here I am gettin into loopin and using the effects and crossfader more creatively in a hip hop style. I have an old AKAI sampler as well but cant work out how to use it with my decks or my pc! I need a better hip hop collection as well! Its improved since joining here though. :) :)
And Mr Ess - as far as mixers go I dont know too much about whats out there at the mo. My mixer is a pioneer DJM600 which is a coupla years old - still pretty good, effects are good, got a sampler on it.Soz I couldnt be of more help. I have always treated it as a bit of a larf and a hobby but since gettin software and joinin here - have started to take it a bit more seriously. :) :)

Nice one :) - its just an instrumental v acapella - no software involved, just a pair of cd decks. I'm not sure that the ayatollah instrumental is even out yet - i got sent it a few weeks back. Thanks for the postive feedback but I have to say that if thats the best you have found so far then you need to look thru the boards a bit more. Theres some people on here doin a lot better stuff than that. Check anythin by Chromium05, Joakizmo, DJBC for starters.

Nice one - will give your mix a listen when i finish work. Thanks for the feedback. I must admit to still feelin a little bit :o when I get praise about these mash ups because i'm only usin me decks and theres no real production values to speak of.It doesnt take me long to sort one out. But its nice that you guys like them. But I am now a proud owner of ACID and have started gettin my head round that so hopefully will be able to do a lot better stuff using that and FL Studio as well as me decks.
