i wonder it for years.

Is it for love to your life?
Or we just dont want to try the death?
Why to live?
What is life?
Why is the subway the easiest, but still unused, way to end up your life?

death is the one thing we can't avoid
and there are so many better ways to go out than that.

Wasn't there a Monty Python sketch where the condemned man's chosen means of execution was being chased over a cliff by a thousand topless women on roller skates, or something?

Yes, it featured in The Meaning of Life IIRC.

My friend said it happened a few times when he was in london - people killing themselves in the subway that is. I guess some of the londoners can confirm the validity of this

Sounds messy....if you're going to kill yourself at least consider the poor bastards who have to clean up afterwards.

It happens. You'll be standing on the platform, and there will be an announcement that says something like "There is currently no service on the Northern Line due to a person under the train at Archway."

And its not like there is a good service n the Northern Line at the best of times....

It is a surprisingly frequent occurance - I guess I notice an announcement like this roughly every other month. It always struck me as such a selfish way to do it,

- the delays it creates are huge and it must be pretty traumatic for the driver and other communters.

Also, without wishing to get too graphic - I dont suppose it is particularly painless either - I mean those trains are not going that fast when they enter the platform - so you wouldnt be instantly smashed apart - I would guess you would be dragged/scrapped/crushed along the tracks for quite a ways before you died - noice.

if you jump in the rail you can be sure that SOMEBODY will remember about you forever.

Now, that's great....
Just think about the mental mess that the one who loves you are gonna go through. Sorry, I had two friends committing suicide in the last 3 years, and it didn't bring any good to no one, nor any glory or magic aura to themselves...

people that commit suicide are totally egoist, coz they want to end up theirselves... Rail is a good one coz they will show the world how much they dont care about themselves and the people who love them or people who is just waiting the subway.

Yeah on British Rail and all.
Every now and again you get the “sorry no trains due to fatality at Waterloo” announcement…

Selfish f*ckers that choose to end their lives making us all late for work. Then there’s the driver that has to get over the trauma of seeing some guys blood and brains splattered all over his windscreen, and the poor b.astards who have to collect all the bits of his pathetic carcass… selfish…
