Rest In Pieces my Adidas Sambas, the finest pair of shoes I ever did own, who finally fell apart today after 2 weeks of suffering with a terminal tear of the leather. You held together bravely until the end, but I guess you just weren't ready for that football match.
You will be sorely missed and given a proper funeral, buried in your shoebox at the back of the cupboard until I see fit to throw you out.
Ah well, I'll just buy a new pair from JJB over the road tomorrow. I loves me some sambas.

Pure cheese (n)
that's a relief, i thought i just had smelly feet. i never smell anyone else's feet, so i was beginning to think it was just me. maybe i just need to buy new shoes more regularly or something

No its okay, Sambas, much like Rod Lavers, will always be a staple in Adidas Catalog. Try some of the new adidas styles they are ill (they brought back the tortion bar), if you have an adidas original store in your town, check it out, and there is NONE priced over $85. Unlike the new Nike 360 Max that cost $160....

i have shoes like that i still wear
they're not even particularly good shoes and i don't particularly like them, but they are good to slip on and not worry about getting wet or dirty, so like washing the car etc..
as for smelling, i find that as soon as i wear shoes without socks for any extended period (like a few hours, less in hot weather) they will start to smell and it doesn't matter if i wear socks or not after that. socks will still help tho, but wearing them without socks is the fatal mistake. that's just my experience. my current pair has just started to get smelly, and it was just after i wore them out for a while with no socks. I've had other pairs with exactly the same thing. I tell you what shoes i've had that rarely stink, and i wore them for like 10 years until recently, and that's puma canvas shoes (http://im.edirectory.co.uk/products/1339/i/pum4482501.jpg). I think i'm gonna find another pair of them actually. i've still got a pair but there's some holes in the sole, and they let pebbles in but the rocks get caught up in there and jiggle around and annoy the crap outta me

Aww, I'm sorry Aid. :(
You have to be a strong boy now. But you can do it.
I had the same problem with my black chucks. After 2 years they were completely ripped and I had to get rid of them. It broke my heart when I put them in the bin. I could hardly let go. :(

i swear there's not a fuckin store in this town that will sell any adidas originals. in fact, i can barely find a decent shoe that isn't a shit cross trainer or some funky nike basketball

They are dirty because I used them while working in a mate's new flat but there are holes starting to form in the soles...
