Some cheap 40oz in a can. I just needed a teeny tiny buzz tonight to help me sleep.

Rock on. I'm sitting at home when I could be over at a mates house playing playstation, or record shopping with another mate, or clothes shopping with other friends. I feel sick as a dog after going to the kings of leon concert last night.

Ahhhh, percs. The last time I had those, they were prescribed to me... To bad I had to pass a kidney stone to get them though.

16! 16 is a great age to start drinking. I started drinking when I was 16, had a ball.

What are you rebelling against?
And don't say "whaddaya got?"
...
When I drink, I'm rebelling against sobriety...

haha no i wont but it was kinda like me and ben didnt exactly fit in with everyone elses plastic personality so it was like this: " yeah we aren't like u all plastic and shit but we dont care, were gonna have fun enjoy ourselves and do what ever the hell we want"
which yea kind of explains how we felt at the time.

Well, if that doesn't justify breaking the law and helping yourself to booze, I don't know what does!
But I see the connection, I really do. "We want to be non-conformist, so we're going to steal our parents' booze, just like every other teenager does..."
How decadent...

You miss the point.
I am not ciriticising you drinking vodka and being wild and crazy. Anyone who knows me would say drinking heavily and doing wild and crazy stuff is right up my street.
I am criticising you trying to legitimise it by using the tired old clichés of teenage rebellion and anti-conformity.
You did it because it was fun, and you wanted to have fun. Culture, identity, conformity, teenage angst, whatever, had nothing to do with it.
So, who are you trying to bullshit with "rebellion" ?
Not me, which I guess leaves you.
And I don't think you are "sooo" bad at all. You seem quite a nice kid.
You also seem to be suffering from all the misapprehensions that a lot of "mature" teenagers suffer from, and need to take a more clinical look at the world.
Whether or not that is possible, I don't know. But I am a big fan of rational and objective thought, and I think brains can overcome hormones.

well, wld you like to help me overcome them then i like that idea of rational and objective thought, coz i would like to become a journalist and my teachers say that with my enormous vocabulary (compared to the remainder of my year level) and my talent in english and various inter-related subject i could do quite well.(sorry sounds a bit boastful but i figure i sound stupid as in our last conversation, and besides they actually did say this!) so yeah i would apreciate it if i could hear your views on a few issues.

Well, the first thing you have to do is remove bias. Very hard to do when you are dealing with subjective perceptions of the world. The best method is to put yourself in other people's shoes - something that requires a great deal of pathos, and a fair bit of life experience (which will come with time) to do sucessfully.
Think how the situation would look to a third party - maybe a martian looking at the situation from a super-telescope in space. This helps you get distance from the situation, and also a better perspective. The world seems flat when you are standing on it. It's only when you get further away that you can see that it is round.
Also, disregard feelings when looking at a situation. All you can tell from how a situation feels is *how the situation makes you feel*. If you were analysing the experience of a heroin overdose subjectively, you might say "oh, it was quite pleasant."
Objectively, you get a clearer picture, it's pretty damn unpleasant.
Deal with facts, and all the facts, rather than opinions. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. This is especially true for me, full of opinions. Seasoning opinion with a good dosage of immutable fact helps.
coz i would like to become a journalist
As a journalist I guess I'm the right person to ask.
so yeah i would apreciate it if i could hear your views on a few issues.
Feel free to PM me if you want my pontifications and ramblings on any specific subject. I like the sound of my own voice, so getting me to talk about something at length isn't that hard.

i no your gonna say this is a cliche but i wanna like bring people stories on things that matter, like theres so much corruption and all that in the world today and i want to make it clear to the public wats going on so they can take a stand.(vicki-seems like ur average dits but underneath is actual depth and knowledge) wat do u think of that?

It's an admirable aim, and after Michael Moore and Mark Thomas (http://www.mtcp.co.uk/) the doors are wide open.
But there are drawbacks for a new writer. Firstly, easy to get slapped with libel writs. Even if everyone KNOWS someone is a scurvy shyster, without clear-cut proof, you are screwed. The rich and powerful (the corrupt) have a lot of resources at their disposal to cover their asses.
Secondly, it is hard for a new writer to get their hands on an exclusive story. If you are too small, no-one will help you. Too big, and everyone will be wary of you.
A good place to start would be www.monbiot.com <-- he writes for the Guardian and seems to be on this sort of topic.
There's no reason why you couldn't do something like that.

Me? I am/was a lowly video-games journalist. Hardly cutting edge political insight. But, I guess, not too different to sports journalism.
