why would anyone voluntarily live in one?

I consider minneapolis too fucking small. I want to live someplace bigger at some point, but I have no interest in NY or LA. Chicagos close enough that I could be 5 hours from "home" but movings a pain in the ass and that probably wont happen for yurrs.

What about Chicago? How far away is that from where you are? That might be a good inbetween. Still fuckin huge though.

Salt Lake is totally a small town.

small town = more dumbfuck hicks. (less breeding population i guess).... I stayed in idaho for a short time and it sucked ASS and the most popular thing to do was go park your G-ride (pontiac with ghetto unmatched way too big wing) and sit in front of the closed tire shop across from the closed mall (on the only sort of main street) and yell at people driving by and hold signs that say show me your tits. Watch napoleon dynamite, there is such people like that in idaho, no joke. If I was from idaho, i'd have offed mysafe already.

Big FUck U to Idaho Falls, See ya again, NEVER!!!

or you could go to a European university. Many are incredibly historical, and all of them have some sort of student exchange program.

I love living in a small town. It's like a paradise. Low crime, tranquil surroundings, fresh air, sand and sea, no pollution.

My town has all the ammenities I could possibly want other than nightclubs, and if I want to go to a nightclub, I can hop on a train and be at one within twenty minutes.

I grew up in a town of around 2000 people and I really liked it. There's a real sense of community, you know pretty much everyone, clean air, a low ratio of redneck fucks to real people. At the moment, I live in a town of 30,000 and its way to big for me. When I finish uni we're thinking of moving out of town onto some land or going back home to Yarram.

But yeah, small towns are the way to go.

The small town I'm originally from has made me appreciate anything slightly larger than it.

I have noticed though... it doesn't matter where you live, it seems like you have to drive fifteen minutes to get to anything. That kind of blows.

i'm from chicago, and now live in a town of 2000 people. i love it. reading our police report in the paper is like reading the comics. :D everyone is friendly cause eveyone knows everyone. and i can walk the streets at 2 in the morning drunk ass and feel completely safe. this is the only town i have ever lived in where you can dial a wrong number and one of your friends answers.

this kind of typing is fucking annoying.

in regards to small towns, i moved to one when i was about to get married and it was a great place to "settle down". 2500 people was refreshing. going to the post office was the main social event of the day. then it got old.

my college town was a small town. it was pretty and nice and old, and you could walk everywhere pretty much. and there were like 6 bars (including one club that used to be a movie theater) on account of the young people.

although when I first moved there, my mom and I were at Big Lots and we asked a lady who worked there where the nearest mall was and she was like, "ohhh, you'll have to go all the way to cincinnati, it's far, I've never been out that far". But she told us a road to take out of town, so we just started driving to investigate. It took us about a half hour to get to the mall. The lady was at least in her mid-thirties. yikes.

Echewta did mention that, but I just assumed it had more to do with him being hung like a gerbil. According to kll, at least.

I'm from Port Clinton Ohio which is a rather small city but in the summertime it gets a large amount of tourists due to walleye fishing and Put In Bay which is a party island in the middle of Lake Erie.

When you are younger, you try hard to get away from small towns but when you get older, you appreciate small towns.

if you move to chicago, you could join an improv group and then be one of those people who think they're funny when they're actually not.

or you could be funny like my friend jamie who does improv, and have people suffer through shows where everyone else is less funny so then you become the most funny by comparison.

kll said that you told her that you were at peak level; that your veggies were ripe; that your rose was in full bloom; that you had the volume all the way up; that your tv was on channel 350; that your kettle was whistling; that you were in hyper drive. One of you are obviously lying.

barely 2000 people live here in Funkytown, so like scotty mentioned, you know pretty much everyone (and it has its both sides :D). in my case i also know a whole bunch of people from the whole municipality, 'cause it's not that big either. i think i'm a laid-back person because i've grown up here, and i'm thankful for it. i've had a good start. cities make me uptight. the boonies rock.
