i've been wanting to go on a ski trip to the french alps for a while now and have decided to go.
can anyone give me tips on particularly good times of year (besides winter, obviously) and what to look for in terms or accomodation?
also, any particularly good resorts or whatever you've been to.
thanks.

The season runs from November to early April in most places. Winter is obviously best, what did you mean "besides winter," it's like saying "where can I deep sea dive besides the sea?!"
Cheap accomodation is good, I mean you're going to be out pretty much all of the time aprés ski and that's bound to be expensive during the season.
