it's showing up as characters to me, you probably just need some foreign language plugin or something

yeah, on some computers it would appear as just characters. You do require to put in a plug in to view this. Sorry I didn't make this a Bob's computer friendly thread.

My auntie has a degree in chinese, so when I was about five years old I asked her to teach me to say "hello" in Chinese and the next kid I saw of Chinese descent had some white-Brit kid in their face all "NEE-HOW, NEE-HOW" even though they had been born and raised speaking English. His name was Gavin or something.
Good times had by Brits of all cultures.

How is my name rendered?
Christina
Interesting aside: I went to Shang Hai in May of 2004. I liked it.
My friend Stephanie taught me xie xie.
But she said it more like Shiu Shiu.
I went to Shanghai and it's the most incredible place in the world. Also, after eating Chinese food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for six days in a row I was shitting all wrong.
I still haven't watched all the pirate DVDs I bought.

Hmm, not too sure how to spell your name in Chinese. Some names don't have a Chinese version. My daughter doesn't have one.

The Chinese fellas at the local take away always love it when I come and say Ni hao and xiexie. It's about all I know. Oh, aswell as "Wo jiao Alex".
I might go to China in a few months, I know someone over there at the moment, in Xi'an, I'd like to visit him before he comes back.
我可以打個電話嗎?
I'll be in China on the 22nd. I'm going to take my usual trip to Shanghai and Beijing and then I'll be in Tibet for a little while too.
I'm not sure what you typed there, I can write it but as far as reading it, I need the Mrs. to translate for me.
