I finally said something. After two years of seeing this cutes at our local pubbery, making eye contact, looking away, looking again, brushing past. Anyway, I began calling him My Secret Boyfriend, but I never mustered the courage to talk to him because it seemed like he was looking at me and I was doing the whole "come hither" face and he should've come over on his own.
(plus, his hair is a little too hipster, so I wasn't sure about the whole thing.)
anyway, last night, me and cort show up wasted after a show and he was there and I decided to say something finally because he was standing by himself leaning on Qbert and cort said he was definitely looking at me. So I went...well, I waited for 5 minutes, then I went.
He had just finished playing Qbert and he got to #4 on the record, so I said, "HEY QBERT! wow! number 4, good job! play again!" and he was like, "hee hee hee, I don't have any quarters" so I gave him a quarter and said, "play it! come on!" so he did, and I watched. He was really nervous and I was cheering him on and he just kept giggling.
After the game, I introduced myself and we chatted and he was soooo nervous, and sorta feminine. I thought for a minute that he might be gay, but he said something about an ex-girlfriend, so I dunno. Then I was like, "wow, he seems like he's 20", but he's 27! and he's polish! and he's a DJ! and his favorite band is Belle and Sebastian (though he was embarassed to admit it). You can't believe how much he was giggling!
so, he gave me a flyer for the night he spins so I could remember his name to look him up on myspace. he was like, "I'm totally going to deny you as a friend" and giggled, then I said, "no you won't" and then more giggling. so I looked him up and he seems like a huge dork and he lives in the suburbs! but he skateboards and he's adorable. we'll have to do something about that hair though.
(!)
Yes, I know.
I still have a year left to beat your time.

Do chicks dig giggling or something? I was not aware of this. I could have added it to the arsenal years ago.

Hah, hmm. Good work. (y)
Yah, I'm planning on saying something to this gal, she's a cutie, and what a rack! I'll just bring up my kick ass new mohawk, and we'll hit it off. I'll make some funnies and we can exchange cell #'s.
Yah, who the fuck giggles, you sure he's not gay? Maybe a little metro, I chuckle. Heheh, no HEEHEEHEE. But that's just me.

no, I'd rather he didn't giggle. It would've been better if he was cool, not a big nervous nerd. Because I was cool.
I mean I had a feeling that he had a crush on me, and I think the puddle of giggles left on the floor pretty much proved it.
proove. proved. pove. povich.

Hahah, oh God. I mean I think girls found that flattering at some point of their teenage lifes, but not anymore? You might just be scaring the shit out of him, you said he looks younger, he might not just look the part....

Thats so great. Made your move at a Q-Bert machine. The odds of that happening around the world now a days is so slim. That would be a great scene in a movie. Not the giggling part but the Q-Bert hookup. And if he was like gay, the machine would make the sound of Q-Bert falling off the edge.

it always kind of threw me when guys would get nervous like that when you talk to them. If he ended up getting it under control it'd be cool, but once this guy was so nervous he could barely SPEAK to me. I gave up.
That's cool though. Good game he was playing too.
i have a dr. hibbert laugh

I thought maybe I was scaring him, you know with all the yelling about Qbert. but he was keeping up the conversation when I was giving him escape routes. He even showed me his text message on his phone from a friend telling him to go to the show I was at, but he went to another show.
plus, I left first, and said "it was very nice to meet you" and he was all smiles.

Yeah, I was seriously thinking the same thing during that part where she hands him the quarter. That's when the opening riff to AC/DC's 'TNT' should kick in for the montage scene, with giggling dude slapping the buttons, stroking the trackball and jerking the joystick while hammering into the machine with his full weight in slow motion for some good old fashioned controversial sexual innuendo.

Good on ya for making the first move...though he does sound like he would get annoying fast.
BTW you have no right to tell us you don't have lots of crushes like you tried to do a little while ago, lady.

he doesn't count as a crush!
if every boy I'm attracted to is considered a crush, then I suppose I do have about a million.

Well I just took, "O gosh i only fall in love with guys i never spoke to.. i'm digging one right now.. " , as creeping about and just not doing anything. While guys who just "like" girls and rarely act upon these impulses are kinda weird? Actually thinking about it, you're right that made no sense.

OK i dont really fall in love with them, i just like them a lot on the outside (and they arent even like real hot, the one who i like now is shorter than me :p )
some girls do and some dont act straight away, same for boys..

Heh, yah I'm just suffering from a little cabin fever here. Somethings I say may not make sense. And yah nothing wrong with that, shorter? Hmm, that's different.
But why are you shy, I find cute shy girls somewhat annoying. I mean that kind of makes them cuter sometimes, but not when I'm trying to have an interesting conversation with them. Kinda get scared off by the random guy talking to them for no reason. Don't be scuured, also the new mohawk doesn't help with some of the prepy more conservative girls. And out here 70% of cute girls are.
