Damn, I just got an e-mail from someone that has reviewed my resume and saw that I've done previous missions in Iraq.
I made like $20,000 a month less than what these guys have to offer.
Thing is that I'm currently trying to get over flash backs and nightmares as it is but fifty thou is alot of money to make in one month.. hmmm.

do it and then spend some on a psychiatrist?
if you look at it from the right angle, it's a win/win situation.

you could earn about 5 million if you act as the owner of some ex african millionairre president seeking pease in a new country.
i think i get about 1 of those every other day

Yah, a Nigerian Prince wanted to give me a few mil the other day, just had to help him out with a treasure map, and some handling charges. You'd be a fool not to.

I sent my reply to them asking if they had armored vehicles.
That's my main concern because it's saved me many times. The traveling partis what is the most worriesome..
Of course, the main part of this job has to do with escort duties but I'm so tired of that. Alot of times you'd get stuck with this service and they offer an unarmored vehicle to do it with.
I'm not seeing a pshychriatis (sp) because my wife is the best when it comes to dealing with me but she's not here right now and she doesn't know about this offer..
I already know how she's gonna respond when I tell her about this but damn, that's alot of money for one month.

fuck psychiatrists, they just drug you and send you on your way. psycologists are the way to go.
just be ready for more of the horribleness, and then take into consideration that your beeing payed money to witness horrible things, is it worth it?

Is it worth it? Man, look at the 1800's and even before that. We had to do what had to be done.. War started in the caveman times so just think about that.
I'm surely not in favor to Bush at all but what he started made people like me earn a paycheck to survive.
This is the thing that is wrong with my brain. I love the excitement. I love the thrill and yeah, for sure it will get me killed one of these days

I'm not going to go in depth on what I did back in Iraq, It's just amazing how my name didn't appear when some of the incidents happened.
Remember the time when the chopper got shot down? I was in that area securing the take off.
It's even more fucked up that one of the guys share the same name as me..
What do I do? I'm p.s.d. In correct terms, I'm a mercenary but I mainly ensure the safety of high ranking offiicials in the military..

that has nothing to do with anything, the question is, 50000$ enough to make you go back to the shit that's giving you nightmares and flashbacks?
" sucking it up " has nothing to do with it.

That's a tough one. Is 50k worth more than your life? I think that's kinda how you have to look at it, cause basically you could be risking your life. you're shell shocked as it is and although 1 month isn't alot of time it I'm sure it will certainly seem longer when you're dodging bullets and bombs. :(

If you can wait til your wife is there to consult before making a descision maybe that would be the best thing to do. I guess it comes down to how badly you want or need the money
this is one of those rare moments where i'm going to be completely non-sarcastic and honest;
whatever you do, don't let the money be the deciding factor in your decision to do it, some stuff's more important than money...although money is quite nice. if you're only considering it because you want the money, then i'd say definitely no...if you're only considering it because you NEED the money, well then i'd say maybe...if you're considering doing it because somewhere in the back of your head you actually want to do it, then i'd say go for it if you really want to, just don't do it for money alone.
keep in mind that i'm a gigantic pussy, however

Are you allowed to talk about that stuff? Are you going to have to kill us all now?

Fuck it, I'm not going. I just talked to the Mrs. for bout an hour and it ended up with her saying the infamous "you can do whatever you want" which usually isn't good.
I'm not in dept and I'm far from being poor but this kind of work usually keeps us a bit more stable for the future and it's amazing that I've lived during my past experiences over there..
I just blocked that company so I that I can't receive e-mail from them..

Well I would have done it, but then again, I'm joining up to probably get sent there and paid far less than $50,000 are year. But if you have a wife, I understand why you would not, and it's the right choice.
You're joining the military? Damn man, don't do it. I fucking hated every minute of it and I stayed in for quite a long time. It's almost for certain they will send you there.
Edit: dodging bullets is far from anyone's worries. I swear Stevie Wonder is a better shot than those guys. Moltovs weren't too common and BINGO, bombs are the top worry. They're everywhere, especially in Ramadi.
Thanks for the input guys, sometimes it's what it takes to get through my hard head.

I shouldn't join because 'you say so'? You don't even say why it was so bad for you.
i can give you one reason:war is stupid so why encourage this phenomena!ITs bad for you because its is an environnement evolving aroung hate, death and power!fuck,, open your eyes!

Oh, no. Don't get me wrong. Not cause "I say so". I'm giving you my opinion from 8 years experience. You don what you want but when you join, don't look at me for an "I told you so"
First, you start as a low rank of course which means you get treated like shit and talked to like shit and get sent to some stupid work details. Of course during basic, you get treated like shit but that's just for motivational purposes but once you get to your duty station, it should be somewhat laid back but it's not the case. Alot of times when the rank is placed, that weight goes on to the owner's head and then, you happen to live through basic through your duration of being lower enlisted until you reach E-5 but still, there's always going to be someone higher than you.
Second, I hope you like overtime and not get paid overtime. I make like triple my wages now as a civilian working half the hours..
I can go on and on brother, if you want me to, just ask and I'm sure to give you more invoice.
