Just A Test (I've been waiiitting!)
I have a strange feeling and hope for Sounds Of Sciences POW, or any other instrumental

Though no matter what it is will not dissapoint, after all it is the Beastie Boys ;)

I think it'll be something that was performed at Madison though.

I could be wrong, something surprising like that would be cool. Unless anyone records and shares though I won't be seeing it anyway (hint hint)

now, i dont mean to be a downer, and in the right frame of mind listening to "licensed to ill" doesnt have to be annoying, however, i think that performing songs like brass monkey basically wipes away what the band worked hard towards during the hello nasty era when they didnt perform certain songs and changed certain lyrics.

many fans still long for the days when the band drank beer on stage, acted like assholes and said stupid shit. thats how many fans would like them to still carry themselves, just like the so-called "glory days", far away from politically correct as possible, nothing holding back in fear of offending. Maybe I'm wrong, but I still think fans of licensed to ill, pauls boutique take the material seriously regardless of what the band says about just joking around and having fun.

I honestly think the band has thrown in the towel when it comes to making people realize that the majority of their early material was in jest, not meant to be taken so seriously. The kind of attitude and feelings they had towards their material which might seem offensive cannot have possibly changed. they might've thought it can be taken the wrong way, it can offend some, its actually against what they believe in. That is what they still have to believe in to this day, how can they not, and the band for the most part knows who their audience is, so its hard to imagine the band being like "everybody knows we're joking and goofing" since they know their audience. thats why i said they're throwing in the towel and doing the songs, they realize they wont be able to get across the message of it all being a joke.

in the track analysis video for solid gold hits remember how horovitz was REALLY putting distance between himself and licensed to ill material but in concert still performs it anyway.

I realize that some songs are a joke and i'm able to come away knowing that the guys arent disrespectful assholes but i dont think many fans want to realize that its a joke, they prefer the dumb shit.

for me, the concerts during in the round were just as exciting as any one during the pagaent.

two songs would be nice, they can get away with that, they always do

"open letter to nyc" would be nice in new york, or a song that really shows how good they can be live "root down" "shake your rump"

i couldn't think of any one or two songs, there's so many to choose from!
but it'd be cool of them to do a new song first, then an older one, one that makes people get up and dance! :D

what's the countdown? 4 days? (lb)

egg man

haha sounds good to me.

Another choice id go for is

"Now Get Busy"

I love this song, and it doesnt get talked about enough. I have probably listened to this song the most out of any B-Boys songs. Ok maybe not the most but a LOT.
