Right - this is the last one. Only took the time between the last post and now (about 20-30 minutes) but this one I quite like.
Check it Out (again!) Vs Ya Feel That (http://www.chromium05.plus.com/checkitout-yafeelthat.mp3)
No more Check It Out mash-ups now, I swear.

Cheers matey. This is probably my favorite one of the mash-ups too. That beat is just so basic but so damn funky I can't help but bounce around the room shouting " DUM - CHA - dum - cha" in time with it.
I must look a right fart when the MILF's walk past the window picking thier kids up from the school down the road....

LOL :D - either you dont listen to any music at school run time or you start to perfect some sort of travolta style to grab their attention.
Hey - do you just put the acapella and the track thru ACID? If you do how do you change the time sigs? I couldnt work it out - i am only on a demo of ACID so that could be the problem. I'm just doin mashups manual on me cd decks and actually mix them and its never 100 percent in synch and its doin me head in.

"Hey - do you just put the acapella and the track thru ACID? If you do how do you change the time sigs?"
Yeah. If I am remixing say "Check it out" I first put the original album version into Acid (beats vocals) and use the BEATMAPPER (track properties - beatmapper) and find the track tempo.
I then load the acapella and do the same with beatmapper - but I just make it the same tempo as the full version (ie - if the full version is 115bpm I then make the aca 115bpm - it doesn't matter where you're cue points are so long as the bpm is the same). On the aca - on the last screen in beatmapper - tick the box that says keep same pitch when tempo changes.
I then go into the main window in Acid and line up the aca with the original - using the properties box on the acapella to increase or decrease the aca tempo until it sits perfectly with the full version.
Once they both sit right, I mute the full version and start adding the bits I want to use. If it's a straight mash-up, I load an instrumental and again use the beatmapper to find the tempo of the instrumental. Once you have it, Acid automatically alters the tempo of the instrumental to the tempo of the aca.
I then just line up the kicks and snares with those of the muted full beasties track and play the aca and instrumental together.
Where any choruses come in etc, I just cut and paste the instrumental to fit the aca.
that's it
