Not sure its always in synch - bit too much goin on for me. Soz
I agree with Guy Incognito. It sounds like you just plopped the vocal over a beat, but didn't worry about tempo at all. The beat is cool though, it just needs to get lined up with the vocal.
What are you using to do your mixes? I'm mostly a software guy. I always set my software (Ableton Live + Reason rewired) at the same tempo as the acappella. Then it's just a matter of starting the vocal on-beat. To get that going, I just shift the vocal back and forth by say 1/4 notes until it sounds right.
Another thing I do is listen to the original version of the song and pay attention to the snares and where they are in relation to the vocals. Then when I'm programming my drums I shift the vocal around so that it lines up with the snares. It's even easier if you mute any other drums and just have the snares.
If you're really having trouble, try first syncing the original song with your beat, then syncing the vocal with the original. Hopefully that makes some sense. In Live, I'd have a track with the original, figure out the tempo and get the metronome locked with that, and then shift the vocal around until it's right on with the original song. Then just delete the original track and start building your beat around the vocals. With that method, it sometimes helps to use headphones and pan the original to one side, and the vocal to the other so you can hear them seperately.
Hope that helps! Keep on mixing. I took a look at some of your other posts, your "Get it Together" mix was tight. Kudos!

Sounded like you were goin for half measure off on the vocals? But I agree, as well, it still sounded just a hair off. But the beat was sweet. It scared me.
