well March 2006 article list the Lp's as follows:
10: The Roots(due 4th qtr)
9:Ludacris(2nd)
8:Busta(2nd)
7:Ghostface(2nd)
6:TI(2nd)
5:Outkast(1st)
4:Mobb Deep(1st)
3:Killa Cam(2nd)
2:Nas (the lp by him and Premier) (2nd)
1: The Game(2nd)
if these releases stay kind of on point we in for some decent music, heres hoping that the Nas/Primo LP comes out. Nas " I'm almost done [working] on a Queens anthem with another big Queens dude" when asked about features.
Agree/Disagree with their list?

If you can't see why it's funny for you to say that, then there is no purpose in continuing this conversation.

ok Assman .
explain please? I'd luv to read your opinion on why I think Outkast is wack
and I know your gonna say casue I like 50's records.
and GMile so far left mainstream? please dont say you think Andre3000 is breaking musical boundries with that sing songy shit lol
Outkast was dope till Aqumeni...
Outkast = Pop Music
:D
I disagree. Pop Music is Nelly, 50, Dem Franchise Boys...Outkast has their own sound still...you wouldnt be saying that they were pop if they werent popular.

assman thinks its funny you think they sold out because you like 50 cent bullshit bubblegum music.
gmile thinks you're wrong because he thinks outkast took a HUGE risk putting out a song like Hey Ya as a single, and I agree with him. It takes alot for a group to branch out of their genre like that.

ok so 50 and Outkast are both Pop ..
and Outkast took a huge risk and they lost plenty of the true hip hop heads that followed them back in the day.
you can put them in the same group as Black Eye Peas and that junk.
(n)
edit: fuck the South lol
Slimm your dispointing me today (n) (n) guess your not a true hip-hop head in that sense. I've defended you many times before, but on this topic you are off.

It's help a lot if you were a 10 year old kid and understood my implications... But thanks regardless.
Slimm you need to understand what it means to be a mainstream artists, simply making hits (and games/movies) for the singular purpose of making money. Instead of being a real Artist. Sing songy my dick.
serious though
Huh? Serious about what, NAS, hellz yeah. I mean I can't expect another Illmatic but hell, let's see what he can break out with next. Last Album was a bit weak overall, liked the direction he took with some of the songs, but overall, meh.

If Hey Ya would have flopped and the whole Love Below/Speakerboxxx experiment then we would not be having this convo on who sold-out, same with Stankonia...just because the public starts to have a little brain power and dig this unique music, thats when we have to make it seem like it's not the public (since they do embrace Nelly, 50 etc) but the artist who are trying to make music towards the public. I really don't think BOB, Ms. Jackson, Hey Yea, Prototype, Spread, The Way You Move are tradtional mainstream songs...anybody that said they are have the game twisted. They werent mainstream songs, but the public (the buyers who are the white teen base who sometimes into mainstream catchy tunes that 50 aims at) bought into it and that why your calling them mainstream.
I can't wait till Idelwild comes out and once again proves how funkadelic Outkast is...Outkast shits on G-Unit as a staff, record label and muthafuckin crew (Oliva, Banks Yayo<Sleepy Brown, Goodie Mobb)

The first time I heard BOB, I couldn't figure out the progression from anything on Southernplaylistic to songs like Elevators on ATLiens and Rosa Parks on the Aqumini album. Then all of a sudden I hear Hey Ya! and then it became even more difficult. After four albums, it's pretty easy to assume that the artist(s) has found their niche, and repetition can be expected for the fifth. Outkast on the other hand, I really have no idea what to say. Quite possibly the greatest risk takers in the history of hip hop. Most sucessful too.
