Hmm...this is a tough call. Sausage is for breakfast or on pizza. Bacon is, well, BACON! Hell, they're both pork unless you're talking that chicken apple sausage crap?
I haven't really had either for about 3 months now. :(

really tough one. I mean, you have to have sausage with gravy and biscuits (southern thing), but you can't put sausages on a cheeseburger.

This is probably the most difficult question ever posed. And I like to think of myself as having a definitive opinion on everything. I love both sausage (patties not links) and bacon (all forms except "canadian") more than almost any other food.

Bacon is much more diverse as a food. I mean, you can use it to season things like beans, you can crumble it on salad, it's good on pizza, sandwiches, cassaroles. But sausage patties, as delicious as they are, are really just breakfast food and that's it.

But when it comes to breakfast meat, is there anything as divine as the perfectly browned sausage patty, with just the right amount of spice?
P.S. Polish sausage was my favorite food for grillin outdoors since I was a tiny tot. My family used to grill kebabs and they all skewered steak but mom had to do polish sausage pieces for me. Oh, and I love the sausages with wild rice in them.
P.S.S. A BLT is probably the perfect sandwich (with avacado).

Sausages, as in the link sort, because pork patties/rissoles just arent sausages to me, can be so varied in ingredients and everything, I mean its hard to beat a good kransky. I'd have to go with sausages, if we're talking about the gourmet ones. If we're just talking about thin plain ones like you'd have at a sausage sizzle, then probably bacon.

Gotta be bacon - but black pudding is better than both of them - as long as its cooked right.
