On Sunday afternoon I was rear ended by a kid whom was driving his bosses car, had no proof of insurance, and had a few in him. Obviously he was shook because he realized if the police show up hes fucked.

I tend to be edgy in situations like that just because its nerve wracking and such. I got all of his information, license, telephone numbers, cars license, who its registered to...told him I wanted to hear from him by such and such a time or I would report it.

Long story short, today I went to get estimates done and called him. First off, the guy asks if he can pay me on friday and Im like "uhh no, you're paying me today"....later he says hes "more comfortable" paying the body shop and I fucking flipped on him. Usually Im a patient person but christ. I was like "well, if we want to discuss comfort, I would be more comfortable if your drunk ass didnt hit me...I saved you from a DWI, no proof of insurance, and a myriad of problems...we're doing shit my way, and if its not resolved with money in my hand by 5, insurance will deal with it from here".

Mrs. marsdaddy was going through early labor yesterday and she barely bumped some lady in a Mercedes. The woman is going to claim all kinds of damage (bodily and to her car) based on her reaction. Our car has no scratches on it. We got insurance involved pronto to protect ourselves.

BTW, I hit someone on my motorcycle right before the first marsbaby was born, so I take it as a good sign.

I have the estimates and photos of the damage. The damage on his bosses car was substansially worse and he doesnt want insurance involved. If I get mine, thats fine. I could care less.

I got rear ended by a young girl who was talking on her cell phone. It was rush hour and we were in the turn lane about to get onto the expressway. There was no damage to either car, maybe a few scratches on the bumpers but that's what bumpers are for. So instead of calling the police and holding eight billion people up in traffic, I just gave her a lecture, made her promise to not use her cell phone while driving especially on the expressway and left it at that. I can't stand it when people make such a huge fuss over "accidents" where no one was hurt and there's under $50 worth of damage done to the cars if any.
