View Full Version : GERMANY SUCKS (sometimes)

Germany is soooooo bureaucratic: I wanted to get a new passport today and
had to go to the passport-authority. You think, okay you pull a number and
wait until they call your number? That would be way too easy for the German
bureaucrats. You have to wait in a loooooooong row to explain someone what
you want, so that this person can give you your number. Then you go to the
waitingroom and look onto the display panel.... they just called No. 61  and
I was number 131 !!!!!!! I waited 3 hours. Not including the time I had to wait
for my waiting-number of course.
You think bureaucracy is stereotypical for us Germans? YES IT IS. We suck.
So what else? Come on, tell me all about the german cliches you have. And I'll
tell you, if that's true or not... :)

You'll have to go to Bavaria for real big pretzels. But don't try to to imitate
the bavarian accent if you aren't a native bavarian. They'll kill you...
But I've eaten a giant pretzel in LA once. That american pretzels can keep
up with ours...

He's not popular here. Allthough - and I understand if I
get a lifetimeban-now - I share my birthday with him
But he thinks that he initiated the German Unification
with "I've been lookin' for a freedom" :p

Aw shit, sucks for you. I can see you with all of friends with the birthday cards of famous people that you share the same birthday with, and then they ask you who you share yours with...
I am so sorry.
Snap! When is it? I want to make sure I not doomed as well.
July 17th! (I keep my fingers crossed for you)
Other cool celebrities  with the same birthday:
Mandy Smith and Angela Merkel (our new Bundeskanzlerin)
My husband shares his birthday with George Clooney...
You can check at Wikipedia what happened on your birthday.

So Germany is like the DMV, on a national level? Excellent. Atleast you can get a blowjob while you wait.

You wouldn't want a blowjob, if you saw the everage
german executive... What is the DMV, btw?

Or knock us out.
Or both.

Dunno. I hate soccer (I guess, I'm one of the few german soccer-haters :))
But as far as I know. The German soccer-team really sucks at the moment.
That makes it a sucker-team then. (Sorry, this joke sucked, too.)

but is it true?
Statistically, Germany has fewer neo-nazis than other countries (e.g.:
poland, france, italy, denmark). But with that history we are supposed
to have not one single neo-nazi, right...
I don't want to insult those countries above of course! It's just statistically...

So just unfunny engineers then. OK!

Ailton rules, after scoring a goal he prays and touches his crucifix, then scratches his nutsack!
I have no idea of the celebrities I share my bday (July 20th) with, but it's on the Day of the German Resistance (Scholl sisters) which is kinda cool.
And German bureaucracy is the ultimate hassle, in so many ways.

^^^ Fallingbostel? Perhaps you'll visit Berlin someday, too.
^^ In Germany not only the engineers are unfunny. Germans
aren't really known for their politeness, I think. But it's okay.
^ You share your birthday on July 20th with:
1519: Innozenz IX., Pope (1591 to 1591)
1785: Mahmud II., Sultan of Osman (1808 to 1839)
1847: Max Liebermann, Artist
1895: László Moholy-Nagy, Artist of the Bauhaus
1932: Otto Schily, you'll know him
1947: Carlos Santana, mexikanischer Musiker
1973: Haakon, norwegian Prince
1980: Gisele Bündchen, Model
and it's an Columbian holiday (of independence)

Yes it does. And it's even worse than you might think. Well,
I agree being biased. I've never been there. That's because
I'm puke-o-phobic. And the drunken people there are known
for puking everywhere... But that's perhaps, because there
are too many people of other countries who are not used to
drinking beer in these amounts ;)
You know, where other countries have Pints, the Bavarians
have a "Maß" beer (which is 1 Liter) in one glass...
If you want to catch the spirit of Oktoberfest, listen to my
Oktoberfest-Remix (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=58168)

Oh, that's yours? Is that you on the phone, too?
And Oktoberfest CAN be awesome, if you go with and meet the right people. My first Oktoberfest resulted in a 3-stitch headwound, but I still think it was funny as hell. Don't go if you don't intend to get stone dead drunk. The music is total bs, but there is heavy flirting with the Dirndl girlies...

Hihihi, I had a Dirndl as a little girl. Did you have
your own Lederhosen (or do you still have one)?
I'm not on the phone in that Remix. Is there someone
on a phone at all? I didn't realize that - oh wait, do you
mean that "ja, ja"? No that's in the Polka :)

I like Germans, especially the women without moustaches.
Now that's a stereotype. There are no german women without moustaches :D

Hell no, I'm a "Zugroaster" and I wouldn't even wear one on Halloween or to the Carnival!

Oh, a "Zugroaster". I had to think about that word for a while,
but now I've got it. :D And I'm as well in Berlin. Where are you
from then?

I'm orignially from the "Pfalz" (YEAH!), but I think Munich is a decent if expensive place to stay, much tougher to find a flat, though...
