if I had a sony, I'd be awesome.

my mom bought me a Sharp when I was in 7th grade, stating that they last forever. I still have it, but the CD player is pretty tempermental, so I've got my walkman hooked up to the audio inputs. but still, it's lasted me going on eight years now.

Man, I can't even look at this thread anymore, did you know my Philips stereo's right speaker went bust yesterday? I've had that piece of kit since I was 11. We've seen many musical phases, good and bad.

Stereo equipment? Yeah, right. I don't remember the last time I actually had a stereo... well, maybe I do. I think I was about 15. Since then though, with the revolution of never having to buy a CD again, it's been all about the computer speakers and listening to stuff in my car.

On my computer I've got those old Klipsch THX certified thingers. It's only a 2.1 setup, but it does me just fine. In my cars I just keep the factory stuff... I'm not into that whole upgrading the stereo equipment in a car since it won't do me any good on the trade-in anyway.

Now though, I listen to records a lot. For that, I've just got some cheap Numark monitors I got on sale at Guitar Center. F that stereo system nonsense. But, if I had to buy a home theatre system I'd save my cash and go high class with some Bose action.

I need better speakers. There's no point in having good equipment with bad speakers. I have piece of shit Bose speakers but my brother gave them to me for free and they fit in my tiny living room. I had some giant no name ones that sound better but they look silly. Reminds me of that Judge Reinhold movie where he sells stereos.

I have a crapload of stereo equipment always in varying degrees and stages of playback. Currently hooked up to the TV & DVD player a 6.1 Onkyo thingamajiggy with massive wattage,

A Pioneer Amp wired to two big old Klipschorns that sound great in my garage of all places...it really is studio quality, for when I wrench.

and a 3 pc. Boston subwoofy system that is actually really nice too, it's linked into this here computer.

I have a white trash stereo type system in my car.

Everything I've ever owned Sony lasts about a year or less. I remember taking back a disc player at LEAST 3 times before getting one RIGHT.

I'm the stereotype, in the zone where chrome meets chrome
Hard heads call it home sweet home
I rep that, hat to the back, chrome blades
Low fade, blazin the haze, in the hallways

i remember thinking what good quality technics is and then i was reading my panasonic vcr manual and saw it was teh same company.

i buy things that are made in japan
so important!

i tell people not to buy sony but they never listen
theres lots of issues of not being able to connect other components to sony things
and the break down issue mentioned
