I was just curious, but if you're the dj of a rap station or country station or rock station etc... as a dj, do you have to know the all about every other genre out there... ie : country station dj having to know everything about hip hop and vice versa...

I know radio dj's have al ot of musicians to memorize... in their own music genre... but I can't imagine that they have to know about everybody else's...

cuz I've been dying to call into a country radio station and requesting to hear some G- Unit and 50 cent :D ... i know they won't do it... but what if??

You might get them to play one of the hayseed dixie rap covers but there's no way you'd get them to play anythin really high profile rap - they're gonna know.
