Yeah, mr.p says the NY area might get up to 15 inches of snow. Boy are we glad we got the new roof on our place there last week!

Lucky Duck!
Pictures Pictures Pictures!
see, we're supposed to get a ton of snow here in CT, too. i heard about this, so i moved my car purposely so that it would far away from all the other cars to lessen the possibility of getting snowed in too badly, i parked further away just so it could be isolated. i looked out the window and somebody parked immediately next to me, it's ridiculous. there's like 10 spaces on either side, and he had to park right next to me. what a cock.

it's blowing through my city now. i'm kinda pissed, cause we had to leave a skate comp a couple hours away early because of the storm (and my friend puked from a headache). at leaste the mountain will have some snow for tomorrow, though.

They're saying it's the worst one day snow storm in the history of NYC.
Was quite the bitch shoveling my driveway yesterday.

today its sunny and slushy....
yesterday I pulled an Ed Rooney, I stepped into a foot deep pile of snow , then pulled my foot out and my shoe got stuck, made one of those suction noises, then i stepped down on my sock and it got drenched... had to ride home with a wet sock, soaked shoe, and numb foot...

That's horseshit. If this damn thing came west even a little bit, we would've gotten at least more than the less than an inch we got. Pissed off.

We had maybe 4-5".
It was interesting snow. It came intermittently, thick and heavy. Enough to coat the trees. With the wind gusts, some trees and bushes were covered only on one side. That was a gorgeous visual, especially at night.

where are you living that you got 4-5 inches??
i had like half an inch of snow with a layer of ice underneath. and it wasnt thick enough to cause any road problems

Just a few miles from you. Isn't it weird the way that can happen with snow. My dad is in Brentwood and he didn't get much.
Some of what I saw might have been because of blowing because I'm at the crest of a hill. But my car was completely covered--at least 4" there and it was thick, wet snowman snow. I just cleared it at mid-day.
There wasn't much ice under the snow here. No real travel problems, either. It stuck to the roads just a bit on Sunday night--at 5am today, it was still snow-covered on my street with a lone set of tracks.
school got canceled here, and by 8:00am the sky was perfectly blue. i went up to the local mountain (2 hours after it opened cause my parents were scared that the roads were covered) on a completely dried highway. my area got 20-30 cms, i think, with pretty big drifts in some places. the mountain had some pow for the first time in my memory, which was dope. definately glad it stormed.

Thats crazy...you don't live to far from me, and we got about 10" - 12".
And yeah, it was dope, it was nice to hit some fresh powder on the hills yesterday.
