Do they have their little symbols on their keyboards, or do they have english?

yeah, as Tracky posted. It's a combination of English and characters. If the computer was bought in the states or elsewhere, you can download the program to type in whatever character you want. The way you'd type it then is you would have to spell it out in simplified Chinese and whenever you hit the space bar or return, it would then display it in characters.

The same goes for every country that doesn't use english characters. Here's (http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/628/dsc003133xu.jpg) a pic of my keyboard. I still have it from when I bought it in the mid east.
