It was really nice there, now I'm home, it's raining and I have to go into hospital on Friday. coming home from holiday sucks.
On the plus side I have some nice photos of hot Russian women who were sunbathing near us. These may shortly appear on Sureshots.

Not a lot really, it was one of those last minute cheap deals. We just wanted to get away from Winter weather and chill out for a week. We stayed at Taba Heights, which is basically four hotels and the beach.
I had a trial dive with the watersports centre there, which was cool, and has encouraged me to get into scuba diving.

They worked at the hotel as dancers or something like that, during the day they just sunbathed and gave me something to look at.

Well I heard someone saying they'd seen them dancing at what was billed as "International Show", which we didn't bother going to cos it just sounded shite. But three of them were giving out giant cookies as we got on the coach to leave, and wearing Hyatt Regency t-shirts, so I think they were legit.

The only thing we heard about was all the rioting going on around the world, and we saw that on BBC World and CNN.
Russian is only one letter from russin, which means raisin/raisins in Swedish.

The coolest thing about the pics is that Jenn took one of them (she's the coolest girlfriend I could have ever wished for), and acted as a decoy for the others (I made out I was taking her photo but had zoomed above her shoulder to get shots of Russian ass wearing thongs).

Well, if you want to hit Antarctica and the missus isn't up for it, let me know.

Antarctica would be cool (pun intended). Next two trips kinda already planned. Probably going back to Taba to get my PADI / National Geographic diving certification, then off to see my brother in Israel (may go straight there from Egypt), then off to Virginia to see Jenn's brother.
I just hope my bank balance can survive long enough.

I used to scuba dive, took my certificate when I was in Maldives for a fortnight in 1990. I've only been diving in Miami once since then. I always wanted to go to the Red Sea for some serious diving, or Madeira (they've got some great caves under water), but couldn't have afforded more serious travelling for ages, just trips around Europe... And as it's been over 10 years since the last time I think I might have to get the certificate done again.

ever since I was kid...I just can't get over it my cousin the same way. My communcation teacher (who was into chakras and psychi stuff) was really cool with me (this is back in 03) and she came up to me and was like "do you resonate with ancient egypt"? now keep in mind I never tell anybody bout my love for it untill they ask, so she didnt know and of course I said "yes" and she was "I know where we've met" because she said she felt a "strange bond" with my sprit, and she told me "in ancient egypt" that really threw me for a loop cuz how rare is it to have someone, 60 years+ woman, come up to you and ask you such a question without prior knowledge of your love for Egypt? So ever since then, and since my cousin's into it I figured maybe I might have some roots in Egypt...you never know espically given my mom's pretty ethinic fetaures (which come from, at leats what we know, being black+french=creole)...so you never know... :)

I've been to the Great Wall many times and the pyramids were next on my list.
I wanted to go while in the Mid East cause the flight would be short and cheap but at that time, it wasn't a good idea.
It's good to see you are ok and had a great time.
I'll be there sometime soon

you didn't go to sharm el sheikh did you? i went there a couple of years ago and took an overnight trip to cairo for the pyramids in giza. i wish i could scuba dive, all that marine life in the red sea would've been great to see
my mate and i wanted to go back there last year but that area was bombed by terrorists just after 7/7 and she didn't wanna risk it. you're brave, matt (y)
Nah, Taba is quite a way from Sharm. There was a bombing there a few years ago, before that big bomb in Sharm. So they're ultra security conscious now - there are six checkpoints between Taba airport and Taba Heights resort. Then there are three stages of security barriers you have to go through to get into your hotel. They have the mirrors on poles that check under all the vehicles, and all the hotels now have airport style metal detectors at the entrance. To be honest it was probably safer there than it is here.

The funny thing with our hotel was they had this metal detector you had to go through to get into the lobby, but there was a separate side entrance for the casino....with absolutely no security whatsoever.
