OK. Not that I am defending this disgusting behaviour for a second, because I will not. However, I think it is misleading to say that these are "new" pictures, because they are not new pictures, they are part of the same lot of original images obtained in 2004 that were not previously released. To say that they are "new" pictures is to be deliberately inflammatory, becauuse it insinuates that there is evidence of new incidents, which there is not, these are the same incidences that are still under investigation.

I realise that that does not excuse in any way what is depicted in these images, but I feel it's an important point to make. They are not new. they are barabaric, montrous and shocking, but they are not new.

You are assuming that that is true. You may be right, you may be wrong, but what you are saying is in debate a logical fallacy. All that can be certain though from these photographs is that those things happened at that time. If you extrapolate from that that it somehow 'proves' that it is still happening, you're incorrect. It may be and it may not be. Personally I think it's likely that it is, but not because of these photographs, because all these tell me is that it happened then. Makes me more suspicious, but suspicion isn't proof.

All these pictures does is explains how desperate the military is in keeping up on their quota by hiring these non professional soldiers. Which gives civilians a bad view of the military.

The weight requirements to enter the military have taken a dramatic decrease which means any old out of shape fat ass can go and defend this country even though he's a big target and will end up in the dirt because he can't move properly in a combat experience.

I'm sure someone saw the clip of the 2 soldiers traveling through the streets of Iraq in the semi truck whilst little kids were throwing rocks at their vehicle and all the fuckin' redneck soldier could do was bitch about how he couldn't use deadly force. Use deadly force on a little kid for throwing rocks? I really wish I was the commander of his unit because he'd have a court martial hopefully ending up with some severe time over his head.

I'm just glad I got out when I did.
