We get calls about this sort of shite all the time. Some old lady will phone saying "I just got an e-mail saying I won $945,000 on the Canadian Lottery, but that I have to pay UK Customs £2500 so they can clear the money".
When I ask them if they actually bought a lottery ticket they get all confused and ask if it's a hoax.
Um, yeah....
Then they'll ask if there's any chance it's real, and they say they might pay the money just in case.
Hey lady, just give me your money if you're that fucking stupid, I just told you it was a hoax, and that you're the 50th caller I've had today who won the Canadian Lottery.
Jesus fuck, human greed never fails to amaze me

I get an "Official" Document claiming something similar at least once a year since I turned 18.
I called the 1st time, and they wanted account numbers, I told them to just send me a postal money order.
They never did.

The really stupid thing these people don't realise is that there is no duty or VAT to pay on money transferred anywhere in the world. And most lottery jackpots are tax free anyway.
But the really really stupid thing is that you have to enter a lottery to win it. That's the part these morons fail to understand when you try and explain it to them.
We're trying to stop them getting fucked over and to them there is still a glimmer of hope that the money exists, all because somebody told them it does.
