'Black' on Ps2.

They're calling it an 'Everything Killer'. It looks pretty incredible, amazing what they can get out of the PS2 right now, specially since it doesn't look like the PS3 is in any hurry.

I haven't played the 'Burnout' series, but I gather 'Black' is using the same game engine with guns strapped to it?

It's cool how the bullets can destroy pretty much any piece of the background; in the early days of development it was likened to a playable version of The Matrix lobby scene.

I'll be poor when it drops, so I might trade in some games to get it cheaper. I'm thinking of getting rid of The Warriors. Played it through, unlocked the Baseball Furies, nothing really left for me. It can't compete with Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 anyways...

yeah, i saw a commercial for it...i don't totally get it though. what makes this FPS stand out from the other 2,000,000,000 on the market? i'm too lazy to read any previews. in two sentences, what makes it cool?

the graphics do look nice for the PS2 though. the PS2 is really going out with style, i'm impressed.

i don't think those screenshots were taken from a ps2. the resolution is way too high and it looks like antialiasing is being used

I think the whole pushing a dying console to it's absolute limits is most of the appeal, as well as the capacity for destruction.

I'm not really a fan of fps's (havn't played them in some time) but I played this the other day. It was crazy intense. My eyes were sweating.

Looks like marketing pictures, if the ps2 is capable of graphics like those it means the programmers have been lazy fucks for eons.

In unrelated news, I'm going to pick up a copy of God of War for about twenty bucks tomorrow.

I've finished a downloaded copy already but I need to own a proper copy of that. One of the (if not THE) top game on ps2.
