I think it definitely will...just a question of when. And that's officially, it could have passed that mark already.

Is there any way to see how close they are? 9.what million?
I would have thought the releases of TT5B and SGH would have given them a little bump in sales for all of their albums.

Yeah....according to the link that Nygel put up, Diamond status is for 10 million units sold in the U.S....not worldwide.
I think I remember hearing the same thing as you canucklehead...that there 20something million worldwide.

I wish there was. In terms of worldwide I think it's safe to say it's definitely sold over 10 million albums. But if 'diamond status' is only in the US, then I think it still officially stands at '9 x Platinum' (i.e. 9 million).
No idea idea how to find out how close. I know some people who heard Ch-Check It Out, got TT5B, and now have most the earlier albums, but I don't know if that's a widespread trend. Hopefully it is, but I'd imagaine the majority of the 1 million or so who got TT5B were already fans.

Properly eating before and during the afterlife is crucial if one hopes to maintain healthy neurotransmitters. The soul, in turn, is required to excite the brain... thus shaping the quintessential elements of memory.

In the afterlife I'll eat nothing but meringue, bavarian squares and stone cold pasties.
