View Full Version : Reaching Management
Hello..I was wondering if anyyyyyone can help me find a way to reach the management or at least find out who manages the B Boys? Or how I might send them something directly. It doesn't have to be right to them but as close as possible. It is not musically or fanatically related, I am looking for some publishing rights and I am not sure how to go about it. Any help would be great :D Thank you very much.
Sending love out to all corners of the land.

Sounds like you need an attorney who specializes in entertainment law.

what is nasty little man?
You ever wonder why its not called "Nasty Big Man"...why so much love for the little people
Hey everyone,
Just so you know, I am just a fan. I just wanted to send the B boys a book I am writing dedicated to them. I am not even sure what all the suspicion is all about. You know I just wanted to send them a present, a gift I made for them, a gift. ANd all I got was the most rude and sarcastic responses, is that really how you all are? I just wanted to send them a GIFT, because I love them, and you all are so mean and terrible and assuming and accusing. I am not even sure why you all are so suspicious, proving how naive I am. But I am naive no more. I asked a simple question to people I thought I had something in common with (a love for the Beastie BOys), I didn't know it was a bad question, it was just heartfelt and sincere and you treated me like I was trying to trick you. Man I really don't appreciate that, your responses come awfully close to making me feel ashamed about our common bond. Why must all of you be so mean? I hope you don't lead your off line lives in such untrusting places. Some people are just nice fans who want to send homemade gift to the bands they love. So maybe next time you could 1) Keep an open mind or 2) A closed mouth.

You got all the rude responses because this question has been asked a million times. If you would have done some searching, you would have figured this out on your own. Nasty Little Man would be a good start because publisist usually know their clients.

Sorry about that its just we have all tried one way or another to get in touch with them, here i guess its a holy grail of sorts. Some might even say piontless to get in touch with them. We all want to hang out and talk with them and just pick thier brains on songs and expieriences they have had but most come to a dead end.
That is not to say it is piontless because some have actually have got through. Just look at Pooty they actually know who he is and who knows who else. (Thats a shout out Pooty (y) ) I guess all i can say is, GOOD LUCK!

This brought to my mind the old affair with DNSWhois or sth like that - a way to find out who owns any website on the Internet. I remember some posts that were deleted, I think I even heard some shots...
When I tried bb.com I found some office in LA, as far as I remember.

I don't know about these other people, but I was being perfectly honest with you man. You said you wanted publishing rights. You're probably going to need to go to somebody who can navigate the professional networks. An entertainment lawyer of some sort.
To those of you who were nice and explained to me why I erred, I thank you. And you know I am sorry to have ruffled so many feathers, but I have been looking--on the web, in my cds, everywhere for an address, but they used to be at GR records now at Capitol, I just thought real fans might know, this was my first time ever in a board (I am not really computer savvy), and you guys really hurt my feelings, and man that just sucks, I didn't know, I just didn't. So thanks to those of you for understanding and enlightening me so I won't make that mistake again, I truly appreciate you taking the time so its not a total loss. I am going to keep trying because if any one had taken the time to know me before judging me you'd find that I love these guys, so much and man I would have loved to talk to some of you about how much they inspire me to be a better person with integrity and respect. I have been listening to them for 20 years, I bought License to Ill on CASSETTE and Vinyl. I remember them touring with RUN-DMC. Are any of you that old? Probably not. I would like to encourage you all to listen to Bodhisattva Vow by MCA until you realize that clever remarks and 'burning' someone you know based on 3 sentences written on the internet is unwise and not compassionate. These are the lessons I get from the Beastie Boys, what do you get?
I wish you all the best, even though some of you hurt my feelings, but I would also encourage you to realize--if you think you are smart enough to recognize a scam, then you should too be wise enough to know how wrong it is to judge someone based on so little information.
Again I thank you all for this brilliant lesson in online communication.
Also, for those of you who feel safe to make mean and rude comments behind a computer screen, know this--it is what we do when no one is looking that reflects most highly on our character.

Funny thing I don't think any of the responses rude... (well maybe the Magnum one) so I think you have some soul searching to do as well.
When I followed the 1995 tour I wrote the Boddhisattva vow lyrics on my passport so I could read it during my travels.
And some of us are older than you think...
