my friend's having his birthday party at a polish night club. I'm fucking terrified. it's gonna be this huge february birthday thing at the whole club. if your birthday is in feb., you could sign up and bring up to 15 friends for 2.5 hours of open bar and appetizers. shit's gonna be ridiculous.

I have no idea what to wear, it says no gym shoes hats or tank tops! there goes my outfit. :(

we have a polish club in glasgow, but it's a club in the cultural term, not the night-life aspect. i was gonna include it in my photo-diary-to-work thing but i thought taking pictures of flowers outside in memory of the "thousands of polish murdered by the russians in xxxxx" would be a bit cheeky.
it is out for hire tho, and is one of the most popular venues for "rustic" wrap parties.
it is basically a living room. with a wall knocked through for the bar. it is so horrifically unpretentious but in that way, it makes it pretentious, ya know? whatever anyone else judges it by, i still think it's a pretty cool place to just chill out and enjoy a stolen beer.

is this the place on Diversey / Central? AHHA! Dude, I have been there...like way back in the day good lord...don't go. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE even if they speak english they refuse to, all the girls are tall, blonde and half naked and doing coke in the bathroom. All the men are just nasty...they will be all over you because you will be the only brunette in there.

The only good thing about this place is they play amazing Euro, if that's your thing.

yes! I'm so scared to go there, but I figure it will be a crazy birthday celebration with all sorts of people...it won't be like, "bikini contest" night or anything. the birthday boy is one of my best friends, it'll be okay. last year he had his party at diversey bowl. heh.

They probably just call them 'night clubs' in Poland and leave the 'Polish' part out.
