i fart silently in public, i do it audibly in the company of close male friends, or minor male acquaintances that i think might find it funny. it's best to let it out whenever possible in my opinion, i've had bad experiences with letting it get backed up. like this one time, when i was taking the SAT...

i've been getting pretty good at doing it silently, i'm kind of an expert. i could fart a dozen times in your face and you'd never figure it out. unless they smell. sometimes they do, it's hard to know in advance. i can usually tell, but sometimes they sneak by. in those cases, i usually just look around like "oh man, that's so rude, who did that?"

I always feel that those that fart or burp in public, without any thought of those around them, are plenty rude. Therefore, I make all attempts to supress such needs until an appropriate moment with myself can be managed. Unless, of course, you're in a public restroom, then I think it's fair game... 'cause that's kind of what you're in there for.

it depends on the situation. i don't fart on purpose at work. I do at home or when around friends or people I don't care about. But I only let those out if I know they aren't going to be really smelly. But sometimes they are.
I am definitely someone that still says, pull my finger.
