Do you ever go looking at something that you yourself did so long ago that you've forgotten it, and then you get to be impressed by your own self? Last week I was reading short stories that I'd written some 5 to 8 years ago and I couldn't remember how they ended so they were really interesting. I was like "Wow, this author really knows how to push my buttons."

Today I was looking through those BBMB cards in the sureshots section. I may have seen mine once before or something, but I'd certainly forgotten it, and I'd never seen the ones with Bobs comments on them. Anyway, when I saw that I had said "I love the smell of America in the morning" that made me laugh out loud. Totally sounded like something I would say. Have no recollection of saying it, but I'm sure I probably timed it well.

Why yes, just the other day I was happening along in the usual way and recalled myself bragging about things that I had done before that were clever and witty, and the bragging was so essentric but totally onpoint that I began to rebrag about it all.

I started reading my Boondocks comic strip collections again. Still funny the fourth time around.

haha, I found a piece I wrote in 2001 the other month that I had forgotton about but at the time thought was good, read it back and thought 'this is awful' so I pulled it out and burnt it.

So, no. I'm more improving with age imho. But I suppose I'll hit a plateau one day and start to go down hill like the rest of you? :p

I kid.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about! recently I was cleaning my room and found some old essays and poems I wrote like 4 years ago... I was completely shocked to how good they were... not to brag, but I can see why my english teacher gave me an A :) (y)
I'm still in college and don't know what to do... maybe I should consider writing... I should give my local newspaper a call (lb)

I'm still very bad at writing btw. Just improving from terrible to very bad - so it was a compliment on my planet :)

That reminds me, I was gonna buy your book and then didn't. I don't have any money now tho :-( But I will

edit: I remember now - I didn't because I couldn't work out if the price would include shipping to the UK. Cus I assumed it didn't and couldn't add a shipping to it. Surprised I didn't e-mail ya or something. But when I make some money, you can have some of it in exchange for a book.
