I love this show, it's quite addictive viewing if you're into modified cars. I'm thinking of modifying an old Mercedes W123 in a similar style to Foose - lowered, nice alloys, minimal (but still luxury) interior, big engine.

All the modified cars in my area are either generic boy racer shite or American. I want something that is pretty unique, and not many people seem to do serious mods to old Mercs. I have a vision.....I think I may have to start playing with Photoshop to make it into a real-ish image. It will be a starting point anyway

Yeah, I have a potential donor vehile in mind at the moment and it's only £100! If I can secure the car, the rest will drop into place over time.

I wish I could afford a car to modify.

No, that was the model number. All Mercs have model numbers like this. Similar to how a BMW 330 is also called an E39.

This is like the car I want to mess with (http://www.dyna.co.za/benz/Mercedes_Benz_80_280S__White_W116_sf11.jpg)

Yeah I saw that one, it was a bit strange......although I didn't hear them say anything about him (or her) not being able to afford it. Probably rewarding him for the whole beating cancer / winning the Tour de France again etc.

I like it when they help celebrities fix up their cars. God knows they need the help financially. Like the time Sheryl Crow was able to muster up some sympathy and support for Lance Armstrong because he had a car he wanted to get fixed up, but they didn't have the money to get it done.
He could have never done it without them, well not on TV atleast.
