Those guys have been there forever. It's nothing new.

I figure they're taking a bite out of Mardi Gras those fundies....thats their daily routine, standing in front of the cats meow with giant crosses?

I didn't see crosses, I saw a lady with a microphone. Is it a live webcam or a video? Maybe I didn't watch long enough.

How come whenever we try and have a nice 4 day drunk in Seattle people always riot? NOLA has drinking down to an artform.

No joke, I went down there that night with my sister and we didn't even get out of the car. Guys were trying to open the car doors and waving beads and cameras at us and we couldn't even drive. It was the most palpably aggressive environment I've ever been in.

It's the bourbocam live and look how mellow everyone is....even tough, you know, they are all at least 10 drinks into the bag working off the hair of the dog from last nite, a very civil bunch of shitfaced folks.

Are they even having a Fat Tuesday this year? It seems so depressing to even try after 2001 (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/specials/mardigras/).

one of the local radio stations morning show guys went down for mardi gras and he said there were like 25% of the normal amount of people, but things were still slow.

since most of the residents arent there now, all of the restaurants are understaffed.

he also said he spent all day sunday running aorund town with his suitcases because he couldnt find a cab anywhere to get to the airport

This live cam at Mardis Gras makes people think they are really on the Nightly News. Reminds me of the time Howie Mandell went around interviewing people for Jay Leno in Hollywood using his fist as a microphone...everybody talked to his fist.

There is usually something, if a little informal. I won't be going, though. Maybe somewhere casual. Gotta celebrate the one party the Catholics approve of.
