Hi,
I'm going to NYC for 2 weeks and even if I became a reggae addict a few years ago, I will do a pilgrimage at Paul's Boutique and take my fucking picture in front of it ! :D
I mean my Beastie picture in front of it !
I would like also to find some Beastie Boys' maxi vynils (it's really hard in europe !) and some old school hip hop vynils there.
Does anybody know the address of some good record stores selling that kind of stuff ?
I have another question for the beastie community and it's about London this time. When I lived in London, I often see some people wearing some jackets with "Paul's boutique" written on it.
I would like to know if there is a shop called Paul's Boutique in London because I never find it and I never find any information about it and if there is something in common with our favorite band.
Thanks for ur help.

Les albums sont pas dur a trouver en vynil par contre les maxis c'est la galère ....
Et qd tu mixes, c'est mieux les maxis. (les albums vynils ont moins de puissance)

It' a real Church !
I find that on the net :
Two decades after releasing his breakout record, old school pioneer Kurtis Blow has instituted Hip-Hop church services at two Harlem parishes.
"The kids need to learn about God, but even the ones who already know God don't like the church, because church is boring," Blow told the New York Post. What we do isn't boring — it's energetic, it's uplifting, it's spiritual — and the kids can relate to it. We speak the word of God in a language they can understand — rap."
Blow rocks a DJ booth and commands the microphone at the weekly services held Fridays at Harlem's Abyssinian Baptist Church and Greater Hood Memorial AME Zion Church. During a recent service, Blow was supported by acts including Shades of Faith Introducing Prophecy, The Hip-Hop Church Band, guest rappers and break-dancers. In February 2005, Blow plans to enroll at New York School Ministry in his quest to become a minister.

It seems cool !
Anyone can advise the visit of "must see" places or areas which make hip hop history in NYC ?
Places like shop, clubs, graffiti walls ...
Thanks !

(For non-french readers)
(You could go to 59 Chrystie Street too. I think it's the first studio they rented. But I must warn you : it's the dirtiest place of Manhattan. But it's worth it.)

Dear French tourist,
Please dont come to New York, your kind is not welcome here. If there is one think a New Yorker hates, its frog motherfuckers like you. The bible says "thou shalt not kill", now hear this... FUCK THAT SHIT! If you come to New York you will be hunted down, as most New Yorkers would like to see what your head looks like on a stick. The moral of the story is keep your cafe latte drinkin, dogs in shops allowin, cool with smokin in restaurants ass the fuck out of NY, feel free to continue to frog it up in home of the toothless smile(AKA London).
Thanks for your interest in NY, but no thanks
No love

The title to this thread should read "Help! A french tourist!" or alternatively "A French tourist, Help!" in order to reflect the general panic and disarray that naturally occurs when such news is announced to the general law abiding members of the community at large.
