I'll start.

Crime #1: MCA still hasn't issued THE COMPLETE BUDDY HOLLY (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE57F18D249A97320C5903C40CCB269A329D94E FB87126E495AD1A926499E0C74E80BA695CEAEF86AB679AFF9 62A55B05D1CBE456F4CC1740&sql=10:1x61mps39f8o) on CD. Come on, folks. It's fucking BUDDY HOLLY. He only recorded for 18 months; don't you think it stands to reason that ALL OF IT should be on CD?

The Complete Buddy Holly came out in 1979, and had everything plus a couple of interviews spread across six LPs. The platters were stuffed, sure, but we're still probably only talking about five CDs.

You'd think McCartney, who owns the publishing rights, would've forced this by now.

...I think he would've done the right thing a long time ago.

Unless they're still busy cleaning up all those Luscious Jackson and Cornelius demos. :D

Given the high profile of the Man in Black as of late, I foresee American IV being delayed and delayed and delayed just so everyone can get a piece of the action.

Theres this price fixing (http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,9075-2068200,00.html) of downloads that the feds are investigating.

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."
- Dr. Hunter S. Thompson ( 1937 - 2005 )

I know, the mind recoils in horror, it's like when the going gets trendy, the trendy turn pro. I mean I'd never advocate quoting Hunter S. Thompson on a music forum on the BBMB, but it seems to work for me.

This is some repugnant bullshit, your getting fucking ripped off and dissed all in one thread. It's sorta like what Hunter S. Thompson said, "There is nothing more helpless and irresponsible than a man in the depths of an ether binge."

There's worse things that could happen (I'm not kidding about the HST quotes, I mean my location has stayed the same since I moved to Vegas 2 1/2 years ago)

I think I'm going to start quoting Americas oldest teenager, Dick Clark.

“If you want to stay young-looking, pick your parents very carefully”
