has just put in one of the great sporting performances of all time IMO. No matter your opinion on boxing, you can not help but admire a professional athlete who is just soooo much better than anyone else out there. Absoluytely fuckin incredible. The guy won every single round - nuts.

Did anyone else see it? If not try and grab a replay, it was amazing

joe calzaghe, an adopted englishman for one night. i can dig it

he gets his props for winning but one of the great sporting performances of all time??????? lets not get crazy.

and sooooooo much better than everyone else??? he proved today that he is the best in his division but thats easy to do when there arent many good fighters for you to face.

it would've been nice to see him fight roy jones a few years ago but he was too scared to come fight in the U.S.

but he destroyed lacy and deserves his due.

I'm not a massive boxing fan but Calzaghe took him to fucking peices, he was like lightning- ducking and eaving and sticking in combos- Lacey was left standing behind punched for 12 rounds..

Yea I was pretty drunk when I started this thread!

But I still think it was one of the better sporting performances I have ever seen. Calzaghe is not the best fighter in the world but I dont think he is far away from it.

That fight would be huge! But the whole 20 pound difference in weight class makes it a little hard. Hatton wins though.

How big is Hatton in Britain?

About 6 foot?

Big news- everyone loves him. Down to Earth fella and a great boxer. Makes a change from all the others who refer to themselves in the 3rd person. He's a City fan but you can't have it all. Still a damn sight better than being a red.
