Well, not quite to that point, yet...but, I'm slowly gettin' there, the more and more I think about it.

Currently, I'm stuck at my mom's house, in a completely different city than where I live....I came home this weekend and was planning on going back today and working a half day, mainly just to get some stuff done (I had monday off...I'm going in this saturday).

Anyway, my car started fucking up and making this grinding noise...it sounded like my wheel was gonna fall off. And, uh, that's not good. So, I took it to the auto-shop...expecting it to just merely be a a bad wheel-barring that needed to be replaced. No big deal, right? Oh no, they just called me...some other "stuff" is wrong with it. So, I won't be able to get it back today...now, I have to wait on my mom, so I can use her car.

My car's a damn 2003 Explorer...what the fuck can possibly be all that wrong with it?? Piece of shit...I hate Fords. Plus, they're probably ripping me off!

tell him to just fix the wheel and that you'll do the rest at your own mechanic

Yeah...I'm going down there, as soon as I can get a ride. Or, when my mom gets home...whichever one's first.

They said that I might have ran over something...cause there's something wrong with my axal (maybe...but, that does seem pretty serious)

they should tell you waht the other "stuff" is. and realistically, unless it was found during the check on what you asked about, they shouldnt really know about it

edit: the place where my parents always go, they would take the car in for an oil change or something small, and a week later something else would mess up. my sister an I both thought after a while that they were breaking other small parts when they had it. the back windows became mysteriously missaligned about a week after it was taken in for an inspection. and it seemed like things would happen like that all the time

Yeah, but, I don't want my wheel to fall off...if there is, actually, something pretty seriously wrong with it. I mean, if it is legit problems...I need to go ahead and get them fixed.

Well, I think, I'm just gonna leave my car here and let my step-dad handle it...he'll be home tomorrow.

Yeah, I just talked to my mom...that's what I'm gonna do. My stepdad wants to look at it, first, before they do anything. Plus, I just talked to Jason (my boyfriend) and he's been in my car lately when it first started to make those noises...and he thinks it just a bad wheel-barring.

And, yeah, I know...they, also, rip off old little chicks, as well. My mom gets ripped off...all the time. She has a Mercedes and instead of taking it to the damn dealership to get it worked on...she takes it to this old redneck guy that suppossedly is a "Mercedes specialist"...whatever  . She claims that since she's known him forever and he's always handled her cars, throughout the years...that she completely trusts him. Plus, he's my mom's redneck 2nd cousin's friend. She'll take it in for a simple oil change and tune-up and ends up leaving with a couple hundred dollors worth of bullshit stuff done to it. My stepdad gets sooo pissed at her. He travels all the time, so he's never home...and, damn, the woman is so gullable!

Damn dicks! They're notorious for being that way...and, most of the time, it's true! They are! (y)

I'm like you...I know the basics. Plus, I'm not, for the most part...very naive. However, they have a way of wording it, so they it sounds like unless you get all that stuff fixed...then, you might be driving down the road one night, all alone, then suddenly your entire car falls apart.

Jason was like, "Anne, your wheel is not gonna fall off...and your car is not in that bad of shape!" Plus, I know, he would even pay for it...such a good guy! (y)

Yeah, it seems like they don't bolt the car together, sturdy enough, or something. Never had any engine problems, though...granted, it's a fairly new car.

Anyway, I got it in the divorce...Scott and I bought it new. I'm wanting to sell it, soon.

That's the only reason these guys get up in the morning and go to work. They live for days like that.
