Finally. My all time favorite TV show is back. Anybody else as pumped up about this season as I am? Last time around with Steve Buscemi was very intense. This season (http://www.hbo.com/sopranos/) should be even more cranked up on the intensity level, they left a lot of loose ends to be tied up! :D

I can't remember what happened to Joey Pants. I like that actor and his character--actually, I think I more like Joey Pants as a mob name. :p

Tony killed him in order to square things with Jonny over the whole "Ginnys got a 90 pound mole on her ass" thing and had Christopher come over to help him get rid of the body and when Christopher went to cut his head off his toupee fell off and scared the crap out of Christopher. It was pretty funny.

That was the great moment in TV. Critics talk about Lucy eatting candy at the candy factory. Bollocks! Tony had me fooled~I thought Chris had done the unspeakable act! Snitch cunt. And then the FBI would laugh at her when she would tell the latest Tony story. Serves her right. You can't serve 2 masters
If she'd put her cards on the table from the get go and some Philladelphia attorneys would have had the FBI's head spinning. When you get in the game you know the rewards and the price of doing business. Sometimes jail is that price. Glad to see her "gone"

i was addicited to this show the very first season (wow that was back in 99). but i haven't watched it since.

honestly, i've given this show a lot of chances. i know it's really well-written and acted...but i just can't do the violence. when it's cartoony violence like in a kung-fu flick or even kill bill, then i know it's fake and it doesn't bother me. but this is too realistic. i can't see a woman getting beaten to death or a man getting shot in the head or something without getting queasy. and it ends up replaying in my mind and keeps me awake at night. why can't they just have worse special effects :\

Well from my very limted knowledge and understanding of Italian... what Uncle Jun said roughly translates into "piece of trash." Or something like that.

Anyway, Malanga is presumably "Little Pussy" Malanga who was supposed to get killed in Artie's restaurant way back in the first season. Sometimes when people are suffering from dementia all they can remember are the things that've stuck with them through all the years... so I can probably take a stab and say his hatred for Malanga was something he's kept inside for a long time.

I finally got around to watching all 3 of this seasons shows this morning. I agree the second episode was kind of dull, dream sequence's and flashback editing can really fuck up the suspense of the average mobster tale. A little of that shit goes a long way.

Other than that, it looks as though all hell is going to break out in the upcoing fourth episode!

the look on Paulie and Vito's faces when they went in the hospital elevator after giving Carmela the $100,000 was a little disconcerting for Mrs. Soprano.

it's hitting it's stride now that Tony is conscious....too bad about Silvio, being a captain is high stress.

If there is one thing about Paulie I've always noticed, he's a very neat and tidy man, maybe he's been sending his money elsewhere all these years? Could be in a swiss bank account or something. He comes off as being a little to impulsive to have plans other than day to day collections. We'll see.

Somethings going to come out of that short snippet of him clipping coupons. Details like that usually balloon into a whole other side of a character on the Soprano's don't they?

I figured that it was just a bit of irony, Paulie clipping coupons for band-aids, you know, given his line of work.

I also figured that he's squirreling away his money for his ma. He mentioned her a few times last night when he was thinking about his own mortality. You're right, though, in that he's a certain kind of tidy. He has plastic on his armchair. :D

That conversation they had about the slasher movie was hysterical. Actually, the whole episode was funny in a very odd way.

The airport-world / hospital-world interplay with Tony...hmmm. For awhile, I wondered if he really was stuck in an airport and if the Junior/hospital scenes were was the dream sequences because occasionally, I'd get this somewhat-surreal vibe about particular hospital/Junior scenes. The doctors seemed off. The acting seemed off (when Janice first went into the ICU, her acting seemed over the top). A lot of the dialog was just off or wrong in little ways.

Kind of odd--enough to make me wonder what they were doing but not to think hard about it.

Tony sitting upright in the hospital chair: he does that hospitalish over-medicated dazed look pretty well. Carmella visiting him in the hospital: scary pale and disheveled. Damn.

I was not liking this season during the first three series, but the last two episodes have been awesome. Episode 4 is one of the best ever. Episode 5 is also pretty damn stellar.

Paulie had a pretty interesting way of coming to grips with a Mothers love. $4G a month and don't go talking to Tony or anybody else about this.

As far as Vito....still up in the air, it seemed like he was going to do himself in but now I'm not sure....if there is a better show on TV, I don't know what it is.

This season is much better than last season. I zoned out halfway through the last episode and have to catch a repeat though. I'm not going to like this break in mid season though. I'll get to cancel HBO and digital cable again for summer though. :)
