I was just thinking of "embiggening" this thread.
Perhaps you can write down, why you like that
song you post or what connects the song to you:
e.G.: Opus – Life is Life
I remember being in vacations in Corsica. And this
song was a huuuuuge hit there (too). Every time
you turned on the radio, no matter which station,
they were playing it… BRAINWASH

Oh, it's not to be rude. It's just that most of my experiences with music from an early age have stemmed from either sitting in the dark listening to songs while everybody slept, or watching music videos while everybody slept.

If you play the vinyl version of this and slow it down at the part where he says "she just smiles gives me a vegemite sandwich" it sounds exactly like shaggy.

nah mate, king by the UB's is a fantastic track imho. Earth dies screaming as well, good stuff. Before they turned into that reggae lite covers band they weren't so bad.

Just in case there are Depeche Mode fans here that own a 5.1 system, they have begun releasing their older albums remixed into surround form. Their type of music is custom-made for surround listening.
For people in Europe, they come as a two-disc set, one disc is a dvd and the other is a hybrid Super Audio CD (http://www.sonymusic.com/sacd/) or sacd. A hybrid sacd has a digital layer that a regular CD player can play; the other layer contains the high resolution "DSD" digital signal in stereo and 5.1 surround. To hear the sacd layers you have to play them on a player with the sacd logo. Teckie factoid: sacd signals are not allowed to come out of the player through the digital output, only the analog ones.
The dvd contains videos, bonus tracks and other things like interviews (surprisingly the interviews are supposed to be really good) and it also contains all the songs in three different audio formats: regular stereo, 5.1 Dolby Digital (sounds good) and 5.1 DTS (sounds basically like a CD except through very expensive audio gear).
For us here in the U.S.: same dvd as above except that we just get a regular CD.
Here are two places to read about them: one (http://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6241) and two (http://stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=72568&page=1&pp=20).
FYI: Playing The Angel was also released this way but the 5.1 mix hasn't received very many positive reviews.
FYI2: some of the absolute worst 5.1 mixes IMO are on the "Silverline" label (but the music itself can be really good) and many of Sony & BMG's DualDiscs: IMO just fake-y reverb in the rear channels and that's it.
